I wouldn’t be so quick to believe that she’s not dipping into the account she has power of attorney over. Watch her gulp when her granddaughter mentions the POA account. It would be close to impossible to have that much saved up when you’re paying for electricity and heat, auto insurance and registration, plus food and property taxes on the home she says she owns.

@shendisackett Жыл бұрын
@@hlee-w9u aha yes one to many greats added! Still a Great Grandad is quite unusual at 50 nowadays, when you consider the average age for babies is now 30. My great Grandad would have been in his 70s when I was born which is more 'normal' for the times. I know people who had kids late and people who had them as teens and nobody is ready for a baby! The only real difference I can see is the older parents might be more financially stable, but that's not guaranteed. I haven't got kids, I'm disabled and with my medication being pregnant would be a problem. I love the kids I do have in my life though, especially my niece and nephew. I also love giving them back and coming home to my cat! They wore me out as toddlers, not physically but brain drain because you have to watch them constantly, I would occasionally be drafted in to babysit for a day whilst my sister-in-law was at work.

@andrejasofrenovic3425 Жыл бұрын
My grandparents are lovely people who spoiled me too, as a child. However, as we become adults, there comes a point in time when you are supposed the be their safety net as much as the other way around. Especially if your granny lives on so little money herself. In addition, if someone is doing the wrong thing, even if it is directed to you, supporting them or letting them get away with it is a twisted understanding of family love. A lot of people let their children or grandchildren screw them over in some way, and don't pursue it because you know... family. But family is what shapes us as individuals, and then those children do the same thing to someone who is not their family and are clueless as to why that person isn't letting them get away with it; having a sense of entitlement and being a taker ends up hurting them as much as others in their life.

733 would be SSI, which is a welfare program, not retirement, SSDI and retirement benefits are not that low for retired or disable workers. The granddaughter is spilling the tea. The plaintiff knows that to qualify for such programs she can have very little to no disposable income. After I had brain surgery and couldn't work I applied for disability insurance so that I didn't have to keep pulling money out of my savings and they did in fact ask me if I had savings and I told the truth and was told that I would not qualify for immediate benefits which I was told was SSI because SSI is welfare and they said I had too much in savings to qualify for that benefit. I had to wait over a year and support myself from my savings. The grandma is working with more that $733 a month, she just can't say or she'll have to pay back and lose benefits, no one with that type of income would loan anyone almost 2k. Hell, I get more than that by a longshot and I wouldn't loan anyone that.
