Sort of unrelated "vent": What will the world be when the new modern grandmas don't like these dainty cute things anymore? Their homes will be all minimalistic :( I just love these grandma things so much... the ceramic chickens and roosters, lace, decorative pots, pretty table lamps, and fancy porcelain teacups... maybe you don't need these things in a practical way, but your heart does... 💖

In inherited all the china that my grandmas gave my parents, I have so many teacups and their saucers on display and drink out of some of them. Have a fancy set of plates and servingware that matches and I use them year round instead of just on the holidays like my parents did, because my grandmas believed there's no point to them if you're not going to use them and just let them gather dust. And if they're broken, it's okay because they lived a useful life. It's fun to break out the fancy plates, only downside is they can't go in the dishwasher haha

I think a lot of people will grow old still loving this aesthetic, in a sort of "I can't wait until I'm old and have an excuse to cottagecore my life!" mindset lol

growing up my nan used to live on a farm and she used to have those things all around the house, and old mahogany furniture but when she moved out to suburbia she went fully modern, she still has her old trinkets and as I got older I grew to love them, so as long as their someone who appreciates those sorts of things they'll always be around

Before I saw your builds I didn’t think I was a cottagecore kinda person, but you make me love these! I know you envisioned a grandma here, but in my recent save my sims’ grandpa has the long lived trait (sadly outlived his wife) and he is a retired celebrity chef turned animal enthusiast, and I just LOVE this house for him and his child and grandchildren ❤️

Love that! I have a Grandma Sim who is loving her single life, who lives with her two YA granddaughters who are going to Brichester. They have a small dog, inspired my my Gran irl and her Yorkie-Bishon named Sasha. The now dead husband was a vet and dog trainer, and the granddaughters are now taking after their grandad, both dog lovers

Love this build alot! It is perfect for my current household which is going to have 2 kids at some point :D First one is on the way! I did have to empty out everything so they could afford it (I don't use cheats) and then they will decorate it all completly once they got more money. So basically they got everything they need right now and as I progress with them, it'll be more decorated ♥ Thank you!
