@@PettyIsMyMiddleName * I am not a doctor and don't want to tell you what to do; here is what I would do, but that does not mean that you should do it* Borax is caustic so you have to be careful. No hard scrubbing/rubbing or you will take the skin off. Take about 1 teaspoon to a quart of warm water and dissolve the borax.After you shampoo your hair, pour the solution over your head. Be gentle when you work it into the scalp, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water. Do this no more than two times a week. When I was a kid, the pediatrician treating my sisters and I would tell my mom to use Boric acid in water for our pink eyes (eye infections). Worked like a charm every time and was so gentle and safe for the eyes. Nowadays, doctors would think you’re on crack for even suggesting it! They have no idea how well it works and now they’re only trained to prescribe horrible drugs which don’t even work! I’m 48 now, so this wasn’t that long ago that doctors knew about boric acid water flushes for eye infections.

Someone who saved for a rainy Day- bc now rainy days can be more than sunny. It helps you take care of yourself & someday maybe a family & they will feel secure & if you teach them the same they will have more self esteem. We were made to work...when we do & take care of our own selves & issues --unless we really need help,- then it's fine to ask for it-but Expecting ppl to hang out their hard earned $$ or when parents easily give it--& spare them when they could do it themselves&-they are causing their children to lack individual pride of this very success!! I wanted to say this bc of our whole country & others children have such depression & low Self esteem- where children in poverty countries feel needed & purposeful- knowing they have an important role of helping or taking care of their families!! I use Borax and Epsom salt in my laundry. No detergents. About a cup to 1 1/2 cups total. I use about a half a cup of vinegar to also help disinfect and soften my clothing. Works great since I can't use detergents. You can also use flour to put a grease fire out. You can use baking soda for cleaning a fridge. Moth balls for moths. Borax is a salt derivative of boron. Boron is good for pain. So that's probably why it helps flowers live longer. The corn starch is sugar so it feeds them. You used multiple things for laundry and bath. Could've included it in the same section. Boron is a micro nutrient that everyone needs. Many plants, including tobacco is boron deficient due to nitrogen fertilizers. I honestly suspect that's why people smoke cigarettes. Tobacco also relaxes the heart and soothes the stomach. Again the mildew treatment works because borax is a salt derivative. Nice @ starch alternative. I began using ionized boron w magnesium, a few years ago. It helped my pain a lot. You can also use Borax. I've had people suggest a pinch to a 1/8th of a tsp. I'd suggest you do your own research though. I use about 9mg of boron daily. If I don't take it my pain levels are elevated. I hope this helps.

@annabodhi385 күн бұрын
Yes, it's okay to use if you have a septic tank.
@chachadodds58602 күн бұрын
No! Your septic tank relies on certain bacteria to break down the solids. Borax is antibacterial, so you don't want to disrupt the eco-balance in that tank, or you'll be creating an expensive life lesson. Read the ingredient label on septic tank products, and you'll find bacteria as the active ingredient. If in doubt, consult a professional; namely, your septic/plumbing service.
@annabodhi382 күн бұрын
@ Yes, you can still use borax if you have septic. My Aunt and uncle have a septic tank on their farm and they use borax. Many septic companies consider Borax to be a safe and recommended product for septic systems, often promoting it as a natural alternative to harsh chemicals for cleaning purposes; some examples include Crews Environmental, ADP Environmental Services, and companies that specialize in "septic-safe" cleaning products, highlighting Borax as a safe option for disinfection and deodorizing.
@KathleenCorduaКүн бұрын
The best thing for your septic tank is to flush down the toilet the collected rice water when you rinse your rice before cooking. It dries down collected waste so it never fills up. You can do this once or more a week.

Might use baking soda to suck up oil???
@brigidlaffey73432 күн бұрын
Personally, my liquid mix of Borax and White Vinegar dissolves oil, butter, grease readily. Try it - you might want a strong solution and be prepared to repeat for your stain/s. With, of course, some elbow grease when required 😉😉

@@lyndakersnick4743 True! Salt is poisonous doesn't stop people from using it. One doctor cured arthritis with borax tablets. Since the govt and Big Pharma couldn't patent this natural mineral, they outlawed its medical use and banned the doctor. There are online recipies for arthritis treatment.

Stove or floor cleaner?
@brigidlaffey73432 күн бұрын
Yes. And add to hot water in carpet cleaners to boost efficiency. Personally - as per the video - I wouldn’t sprinkle on the carpets and leave - especially if you have children and pets. I make up a liquid spray with hot water [to dissolve] and white vinegar. I spray on carpets and /or stains. Doesn’t need to be removed so its efficacy keeps on working

No it is not poison it’s a salt. The only ingredient is sodium tetra borate. So you’d rather use cleaners made of chemicals, that’s not poison? It always boggles my mind how people get so freaked out by natural alternatives but chemicals are ok? Come on!
@2ndLife20252 күн бұрын
It’s not a poison. Quite the opposite!

It is helpful in treating pets but the dilution rate is imperative! They can’t tolerate the same rate that we can. RESEARCH

@marshayoung938710 күн бұрын
I agree, it contains boric acid that is dangerous to an animal or person's skin
@LCinc7079 күн бұрын
Not in small doses, it's boric acid so it can dry your skin if used too often.

borax should not be used as a health care product, but is good for washing clothes and as a cleaning agent but wear gloves.

Making a foot bath with borax cleared my toe nail fungus. It's also safe to make a concentrate of 1 qt water to 1 teaspoon boxas and take a teaspoon of the concentrate daily.
@2ndLife20252 күн бұрын
False! Boric acid is safe to be used as a health product. Doctors used to prescribe it for eye infections instead of antibiotics. Worked great for me and my sisters when we were kids and my mom used to give us boric acid water flushes for pink eyes (at doctors recommendation). Very gentle and effective!
@raehboz2 күн бұрын
@2ndLife2025 only if you know the exact dilution and under a doctor's supervision... there are much safer products out there today to use for health and beauty care. if you're interested in making a homemade laundry soap, then borax works great with washing powder, shredded fels naptha, hot water, and essential oils of your choice if you want a nice scent just wear gloves if you're handling it ...
@2ndLife20252 күн бұрын
@ doesn’t have to be that exact. Just use common sense. I recall my mom mixing a tiny bit (maybe about 1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon) in a cup of warm water and then I’d rinse my eyes with it. Did this twice or 3 times a day to get rid of pink eye as a kid. After doing it a few times on your own and knowing it’s safe, you don’t need to be under doctor’s supervision going fwd. These days doctors are clueless about this stuff anyway. A good pharmacist can tell you more about the benefits of boric acid than a doctor could, just because they’ve studied chemistry more. But even pharmacists seem to know much less about this stuff these days. They’re trained to push prescription meds which keep people in their system rather than cure people with natural products. I had excema as a kid, and my pediatrician told my mom to bath me in a tub with boric acid. It helped soooo much! You have no idea how safe it is - even for kids and infants.
