I cut out sugar 4 years ago, diagnosed with Celiac and sleep apnea 5 yr ago. I got on a cpap, cut wheat (and oats, rice etc, the aglutinating factors in all of them gave me tummy aches). I only use stevia or monkfruit, eat vegetables and meats now with occasional protein bars and drinks. I lost 70 lbs and I hike the mountains regularly. I also cut out nightshade veggies because they made my joints ache. I have no issues now. The most powerful thing I did though: I asked God constantly to help me be the outdoorsy hiker, healthy woman I needed to become. I asked him to make me love vegetables and meat vs processed food. I used to ask him to make me sick if i tried to eat unhealthy things. Pray strong radical prayers! I pray still today. Stay in PRAYER.

There is evidence showing that cpap machines cause cancer. Even the FDA has admitted it. Get off those machines and use mouth taping instead.

In my 50's, I was overweight, out of shape and diagnosed with NAFLD. I changed my diet, started walking and consumed no less that three eggs every day. In six months, I lost 50 pounds, walk five plus miles per day, my liver enzyme levels are normal and my liver has healed. A recent PET scan indicated a normal liver and zero arterial plaque.

I kept getting sick while working in the emergency department and after an MRI I was told I had a fatty liver. However, nothing was done for it because I wasn’t overweight at all, i never consumed alcohol, I ran everyday and was healthy. But the joint pain and fatigue continued to get worse. I ended up going to multiple doctors, multiple scans and after 2 years I ended up with radiation poisoning, and almost every organ shutting down. 10 years later I’m finally better but I cannot work anymore and still have liver flare ups. Anyone who has had the misfortune of abdominal pain from liver inflammation will tell you it’s worse than any pain I’ve ever experienced. So this information is worth gold to me. Doctors are not taught or encouraged to use natural remedies or to look for damage done by imaging scans and medications. I’ve had to be my own physician when those I trusted failed. So thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤

A lot of people have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease these days... I lean more towards it has to do with herbicides/pesticides that is sprayed on the crops. I improved my kidneys and liver with just drinking a lot of clean water (bpa free bottles), I also got natural organic non-gmo supplements that were good for them. That was a few years ago, so you'd need to do your own research on natural herbs that help. Milk thistle, tumeric (on anything you put pepper on), garlic, etc.

I watched an old woman who survived the Great Depression, stated she took a paring knife to work with her and on the way home would pull up dandelions by the root. She would wash the dandelion leaves and place them in a bowl, add some chopped onion, chopped tomato, salt and pepper with a little bit of oil and mix it. It was her supper every day, back then...

I grew up eating dandelion greens. Often my Grandmother would cook them. I laugh when I see how much $ people spend on getting them off their lawns. We never had that problem back in the old days😅. Boiled with a piece of bacon or pork (I know not healthy, BUT, not much needed - seasoning), drizzled with apple cider vinegar (another GREAT medicinal food), salt & pepper. Super good!

@@FaithAkueze-ry2hi A combination of things. My BP would average 140 /98 and sometimes higher. even on the meds. My Dr. said double the dose, but I didn't like the idea .I was on BP meds and a water pill because I would get ankle swelling. Dr said, stay away from salt. After watching Barbara's video on Celtic salt, I started to think, my minerals are surely not balanced and that maybe I needed salt in the correct form to make it right, I also stopped drinking during the week, started taking 1 of 3 recommended dosage capsules of super beets with half the BP medication at first, stopped the water pill and started actually using Barbara's recommended dose of Celtic salt. I also started taking the correct form of magnesium , D3 and K2 supplements.. I do regular fasting of 14-16hrs. I believe I still have a ways to go with the mineral intake and balance. I was also told I have fatty liver. so I'm working on that as well. My BP this morning after a cup and a half of coffee is 113/83. I'm 53. But during the day my BP is around 126/83. I'm a big believer in " If you want something done right, you just have to do it yourself " I've been through a few different doctors in the past 3 years.. and not one actually cared to listen to my concerns, just keep writing scripts that I would just rip up and trash, then be mad I wasted time from my work schedule to deal with the appointments.

In Greece we boil dandelions ( 1 Kgr ) and once boiled we make a salad with the boiled dandelions, salt, pepper, a lot of extra virgin olive oil and fresh lemon. We serve this salad as main salad / side dish for meatballs, grilled fish or other meat dishes. Quite often is recommened for people with diabetes but no more than twice a week as it may interact with other medications. Olive oil, lemon, feta cheese and good bread contribute to make this side dish salad really tasty.

When you said: "And you know what causes high cholesterol: butter, eggs, etc." I was like, what? That's not true! But then I realized you were being sarcastic hehe. Idk how I came across your video, but I am glad I did. Choline is also great for fatty liver! In 2021 I ended up in ER due to a terrible pain in my lower abdomen, I thought I was going to die. It felt like someone was pulling my guts harder and harder. Doctors thought it was my gallbladder, so they did an ultrasound. And sure enough, they found a stone (4mm) and I was also informed I had fatty liver, which I never heard about it before. From there, I was recommended to follow up with a surgeon to remove my gallbladder and a GI specialist. Two different surgeons were ready to remove my gallbladder but not me. I kept telling them that I didn't have any fever, vomiting or nausea, pain in the upper right abdomen or center, or right shoulder, and I am so glad I followed my instincts. I went to see a GI and she agreed to remove it yet until we could figure it out what was wrong with me, long short story, I was diagnosed with IBS-C. I have always suffered from sever constipation, but those flare ups were new to me, very VERY painful. It has been a journey, I learned to eat healthier, (as Mexican, it was hard to get rid of corn, rice and wheat). But doing some research online, holistic doctors like Dr. Berg, reading the labels of what I buy (not all organic and non-gmo is true), I changed my diet and starting having less and less flare ups. It is sad that insurance do not pay for holistic doctors or natural supplements, but if you care about your help, please make the effort, it is worth it. I got rid of all my cheapy vegetable oils and trade them in for Extra Virgen Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. I only buy grass-fed butter (what a difference), pasture raised eggs, grass-fed milk (I wish I could find raw milk in my area), and when I can, I buy grass-fed meat as well. It is more expensive, I am not going to lie, but the results are amazing. Since 2021, I started loosing weight, slowly but steady. I was 146lbs, now I am down to 124 lbs. I guess I was doing keto (low carbs) without knowing. Despite this efforts, I was still showing pre-diabetic and high cholesterol. My holistic doctor recommended a supplement called "choline". I also starting using date sugar instead of organic cane sugar ( I can't stand stevia, xylitol, sorbitol, etc.) as well as taking more serious IF (internment fasting). For the first time in years, mi insulin resistant was down, I am not longer considered pre-diabetic. I also don't have more fatty liver (choline works great!). I am only down to my high cholesterol. I do not want statins, so I am goin to try Red Yeast Rice, which is crazy, statins come from Red Yeast Rice, but it is not FDA approve and insurance do not cover it. Everything is a business. My PCP order a CT calcium score test (which is not cover either by insurance, go figure) and my arteries are not blocked. My score is 1.06 of 100, which is nothing. Oh, and do you remember about my gallbladder? It turned out the stone is gone! My gallbladder is fine! I am so thankful I didn't let them remove it! Follow your guts, go a natural way, it is better! And magnesium is really good for chronic constipation! I don't have the problem anymore! Shalom!

@rampart1997 good luck 🙏. If you can, try to buy good quality choline. After doing research, I found the standard process has the better quality so far; I don't like to buy cheaper supplementsthat that have a lot of fillings like soy or rice. It's $19 for 90 pills. My holistic doctor started me with twice a day for 3 months and after that once a day. IF (Intermittent fasting) helped me as well. Good luck 🙏

Coconut Oil is great for our health. Just like butter, tallow, lard etc it is a saturated fat that helps the body and keeps it satiated. Let go of all sweetners including dates as they produce an insulin response and make you hungry. With IF I hope you are working in some extended fasts. Suggest you watch some of Dr Jason Fung's videos.

I too am 70, and due to edema and mild jaundice symptoms I have self diagnosed as having fatty liver. My research shows the cure is simply to eliminate ALL carbs and the liver heals and removes fatty deposits in as short as 3-7 days. See Dr Robert Cywes video on The Truth about Fatty Liver. Especially around the 6 minute mark if can't watch all 16 minutes just now. Dr Cywes operates on livers and has clinical biopsies and imaging proof of his assertions. Hope this helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHSVl5qlpd2afNk

It's the beta carotenes and retinoids in the foods you eat and the supplements you take that cause fatty liver, it doesn't have to be alcohol. Retinol is similar to alcohol, it's in the same family of chemicals as alcohol. (Also methanol, alcohol, retinol... which all convert into toxic aldehydes.) The Nutrition Detective channel teaches how to heal the liver, Barbara gives poor advice.

I feel for you. I have done Keto and Atkins since 2019 when I miraculously survived sepsis -and was told I wouldn't by doctors, all my organs were damaged by the infection. I lost a few pounds, calculated to about less than half a pound per month and then stopped , started gaining again last fall.... It just doesn't work that well for some, I think it has to do with genetics and other aspects.... because I don't have a food problem yet I am obese in my old age..... Maddening, really 😞

Dear Soul, Things you may or may not be aware of. I would recommend STRONGLY that you see an endocrinologist. They will do a range of blood tests throughout a month or two to measure your fluctuating hormone levels. Hormone imbalance is a key problem that needs to be addressed to allow weight loss to occur. Polycystic ovarian syndrome Sub clinical & clinical over production of Cortisol; Cushing Sydrome.. Remember that sub clinical does not present with the classic symptoms. There is a blood test for this. Maybe read up on it. Get your cortisol levels tested & High stress of any nature ( emotional, physical, sleep deprivation etc ) prevent weight loss. High uric acid levels prevent weight loss Lack of correct Leptin signalling Leptin levels can be tested. Too high leptin levels create excess appetite as well & low levels cause lack of appetite. Hormone replacement meds, & a slew of meds that make weight loss difficult include birth control pills, aromatase Inhibitors...etc, you can look up any meds you are on for this. A lot of buzz on gut micro flora. Unless there are obvious issues a healthy diet that suits YOUR body & makes YOU feel good is the best bet. You have unique needs for carbs, proteins, fiber etc. Explore what makes you feel good, sleep well, feel clean inside & gives you enough energy. Get tested for diabetes & insulin resistance. These will restrict weight loss substantially, especially type 2 diabetes. Keto diet / low carb is advised . These conditions contribute to serious fatigue when not well managed. Internal inflammation prevents the body from functioning correctly. It prevents weight loss. Ideally exclude all food additives, preservatives etc. Eat whole foods as close to nature as possible. Our gut micro flora communicates with our brain via the Vagus Nerve about what food cravings we have. If we are consuming more refined carbs the flora changes & instructs the brain to signal us to consume more refined carbs . When our gut flora is a healthier balance we will not get refined carb carvings. You can alter your gut microbiome within a few days. Good for a Google. Unstable blood sugars & carb intakes contribute to fatigue. An interesting topic related to women's health, managing stress levels & having the correct nutrition so that your body can make hormones & cortisol ( that you use to manage stress) is by consuming animal fats , butter. It is recommended to consume 115gm of butter fat per day. There are nutritionists practicing this. You can look it up in KZbin. It is called The Butter Protocol. Women's health is over looked & under researched. Address your iodine levels, vitamin D3, potassium , magnesium & vitamin B levels. Check for low iron levels. It is one of the leading causes of women experiencing chronic fatigue. I realise that I have written a lot. That there are so many other factors like chemical exposure in air, water, your home, work, food packaging , perfumes, cosmetics etc ( hormone distruptors & toxins ) relationships etc that can be problematic for good health . Getting to good health can be complicated and demanding. I truly have compassion for your situation. Be kind to yourself. Most general practitioners aren't well enough educated to help let alone give you proper attention & respect. A good G.P is always a blessing. I realise that your fibromyalgia is a serious cause for your suffering & pain . I read recently about how some people have heightened pain pathways. I am still researching this myself. Perhaps there is some help to be gained by reading up on this topic? I deal with extreme pain daily & require high level meds just to cope. But some things that have helped seriously alleviate pain ( that may or may not help you ) included Black Seed Oil / Nigella Sativa : can be used internally & externally for treating extreme inflammation . It has been wonderful for myself & everyone I introduced to it for myalgas, arthralgas cancer med inflammatory responses etc. Available at Indian supermarkets, healthfood shops & on line. Granny Karma on KZbin was how I first learned about it . I use it at bedtime & wake up vastly improved. Resprung joints & vastly reduced pain levels. In my worse case scenarios it took 2 days of solid applications for immense relief. Magnesium sprays, creams, epsom salt baths...the more the merrier. Excess will be excreted by the body. Dr Eric Berg in KZbin may have some helpful advice . Juicing for inflammation & pain. Can you get CBD oil prescriptions? They can be tailored to your specific needs. All the best on your health journey.🌿 Apologies for writing so much, not preaching, just ideas I have explored. 🌻🌻🌻

I would love to have your book because two years ago, I had a total knee replacement surgery on my left knee. It failed because the surgeon failed to test my blood for metal allergies prior to the surgery. My knee simply would not heal, and it remained hot, inflamed, itchy, and swollen. Doing my own research, I learned of others suffering from the same symptoms, which turned out to be metal allergies. Through these other cases, I learned of a specialized blood testing available specifically used for testing metal allergies. Using my own money, I insisted to my doctor on the blood test and ordered the test. It came back showing an allergy reaction to nickle. The knee replacement unit used was made from cobalt and chromium, a metal alloy of nickle. Unfortunately, I spent an entire year with this unit in my body before I was finally able to find an orthopedic surgeon who understood and believed in metal allergies associated with certain metal implants in some sensitive individuals. He did a knee revision surgery, removing the toxic unit and replacing it with a hypoallergenic knee joint unit. Now my knee is slowly but successfully healing. My body k 1:54 new there was something foreign inside, and as a result of the non-organic nature of the artificial knee, it's couldn't find it, or fight it or heal it. Needless to say, I was given lots of pharmaceutical drugs trying to treat my symptoms prior to the allery discovery. I had many serious side effects as a result. Before all this started, I was a pretty healthy 70-year-old woman with some arthritis issues in my left knee. A year later, I felt like I was dying. Through prayer and meditation, I have been guided to discover certain individuals providing alternative, naturopathic healing knowledge and information. Barbara O'Neil is my latest discovery, and I am learning even more ways to heal my body and keep it healthy using holistic and naturopathic ways. Thank you, Barbara!
