Incredibily cute!!! Going to send this to my Sis, who adores her little grand-kiddies. When she babysits for them (a lot!!) she lets them jump on her bed. My (father's first...) cousin wrote this song about my great-grandmother's gigantic bed. (I even kissed...) Aunt Lou is my grandmother, Louise. I slept on this feather bed as a child with my brother and cousins, just as Cousin Jim did with my father, their cousins, siblings, hound dogs and stolen piggy. It absolutely never gets old hearing a song so true and near and dear. Classic mountain music. BTW, that bed, in the memory of my childhood, towered to the ceiling and spilled over all four sides of the rope bed like a bloated unbaked biscuit. Seemed I could never get a good sittin' spot until my older cousins got to the top or we tossed our (happily compliant...) pedigreed mutt on the summit to smoosh it down. Heaven at Big Granny's!

John Denver was a hero of mine. For years I have imagined this song in my mind. It's as though you plucked the imagination from my head and made it visible. Brilliantly done. Extraordinary!!! The minutest detail exposed. A masterpiece. I literally cried as I watched it, it was so true to the song. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. It was amazing!

My grandson spent the night with me last night. I was reminded of this fun song when he and I, my dog, his dog and forty 'leven stuffed animals were all elbowing each other for room on my feather bed. I regaled him with funny stories about growing up on our farm and he and the dogs and the forty 'leven stuffed animals all slept well. Not me ! They all kept pushing me off my feather bed and I wound up just watching Eli as he slept. When he wakes up in my feather bed I think I'll make him some grits for breakfast or maybe pancakes.
