She is so gentle with the clients hair. I am not necessarily a fan of added “hair”, because the chemicals in that fake stuff I believe can further damage our hair. Grandma’s own natural hair looks healthy and beautiful. ❤❤

I am growing my natural hair and for me I always use a small strand of crochet hair and add to my hair to two strand twist and loop it 2 or 3 times at the root and then two strand twist the rest of the way. It keeps me from pulling on my hair and it curls at the end. Everyone thinks it's my hair because it makes my hair fuller. And it gives my hair some weight, so it makes my hair move. When I tell people it's weave, they don't believe me. I have to take it out to show that it's now mine. But my hair is just as long as the crochet hair. I always use hair that looks like mine with just a hint of color. And I pull through the crochet hair to make it mimic my hair. I have arthritis so this helps me and I never put in a lot of twists. Sometimes I just put in 1 ponytail and add the crochet hair on the ponytail and slick my hair back. I never want to put tension on my own hair. And this is the way I protective style my hair. I will never stop using extensions because to me it's fun. And the more you use it the more it looks like your hair. When I wash my hair, I put in colorful yarns in my hair to stretch it. And I always use oil on the yarn so it doesn't take the oil from my hair. And this stretches my washed hair and keeps it from shrinking back. I have found some beautiful hair that looks so much like mine. It is so much fun now to do my hair. Also I found out a medication I was taking was breaking off my hair. Have fun with your natural hair and tell me what y'all are doing to your hair.

I stop detangling my hair while wet. i shampoo one day, add leave-in condition then take down and detangle the next day, once my hair is dry. I mist it with Aleo Vera juice then add my Shea Butter recipe and hair grease, let it sit on my hair for at least an hour or longer, then I start taking down my hair and detangling it. I have noticed it is so much easier to separate the hair and I am losing less hair. I shampoo once a month (while still in braids). I am still not putting NO heat on my hair. I stretch my hair by adding large hair clips whenever my hair is damp. I like doing the African threading as well but due to the damage in two of my fingers, it is difficult to do now.

@@ritamoppins5154 Hello Rita, everyone’s growth rate is different. And your curl pattern is one of the curliest on the plant. There are curls smaller than 4c. Also shrinkage equals health. Finally when you are older, you have to be more careful at times than your younger females. At our age we can’t afford too many set backs. Do you have any medical concerns and vitamin deficiency? There is a difference between getting basic hair growth and maximum hair growth.
