So satisfying to watch a good trim 🤗 I get my hair trimmed at the salon 2-3x/year. It's mostly in long term protective styles for now. It's the healthiest it's ever been and I've retained a lot of length since going natural.

Hi Sam, thanks for the information and I trim maybe twice a year, I wear a protective style all year around, my hair is in braids and tucked away. I saw one of my sisters over the weekend, hadn't seen her since last year and she was floored when she saw my hair and wanted to know what I had been doing lol! I told her about you and that I had been watching you and doing what you do, lol! I will be making her your Shea Butter recipe for her hair, I told her we are coming to the Caymen's this summer and she is coming along lol!

Thanks for this video! I can definitely attest to the fact that I was the natural who would “dust” my own ends and never allow anyone to trim my hair. Earlier this year (February), I got my first professional trim by a hairstylist who informed me that I only needed to allow her to blow dry my hair out and if she didn’t see any split ends, then she wouldn’t be cutting (I am the natural girl who always air dry). Thankfully, I didn’t have many split ends, but I noticed that trimming allowed my curls to POP in a way I’d never experienced before AND it didn’t take long for the length to return to what was lost through the trimming process! I revisited this hairstylist earlier this month (December) and the first thing she said before blow drying my hair was “you know that I will not be cutting if I don’t see any split ends…” My response was “that is why I am here again”. I encourage all naturals who are running from professional hair trims to stop. Pray to be connected with the right hairstylist in your region and it will be well, I promise.

I have natural curly hair that gets very Tangled therefore I have to trim more often I think then some otherwise there's a lot of knots on the ends and split ends. I try to do it at least three times a year but probably need to go more often.

Good morning Sam I’am so disappointed I have been dusting my ends since 2013 every full moon once a year … My hair grow super super slow also I was not do my regiment all time but I did retain some length to my bra strap I decided to go to hairstylist this year April 27 2023 to get a trim .. I ask the hairstylist was she scissor happy …. The hair stylist she replied no not at all I felt a little better… I wash and detangle my own hair … then the hairstylist blow dry my hair then began to so call trim my ends flat iron my hair .. then the stylist wrap my hair … after I got home took my wrap off that even I was so disappointed … she trim so much my hair I so disappointed.. Because I put my hair in the stylist hand .. but 9:16 know I’ve to start over … there nothing else to do but start over wait until your product lunch🥰. Any advice you can share with me before I start you product in the near future…

Sam...thank you for this video......my hair is similar to her length but extremely high density. At 15" I am at BSL and hoping to retain 5" to reach MBL....I visited a salon recently and they wanted to even up my hair!!! Even though they admitted that there was hardly any split ends but different sections of my hair grow at different rates. I was mortified. I am not going back!! I trim my hair every 6 months. In 4 years I've got two professional trims both in 2022. I am always in long term protective styles. So thanks for validating what never ever made sense to me....why chop off hair that's healthy..just to get it even. No Ma'am

YOU cut too much off! You cut like one-two inches off every section. That's TOO MUCH!
You DON'T have to trim it all at once!
