@Steve Brown the difference is that a 1300 leaves pieces hanging/ moves pieces to a defended square/ hangs a piece in some other creative way marginally less than a 1100. The level of understanding is usual pretty similar, it’s the ability to not make simple blunders quite as often that creates the rating gap

@BlueLPler 3 жыл бұрын
This is very true. I'm 1000 and constantly thinking, that most of his opponents in this range are either extremely overrated or I'm underrated. The truth is, at least thats what I think, that Blitzgame are very hard for intermediate players, even up to 1800 and you have to keep in mind that daniel is a grandmaster with MUCH more experience. He notices pattern way faster than his opponents and has a strategy and a very deep understanding of the game and his position from the go, which most probably don't have, they just develop, whereas Daniel exactly knows, which piece at which point in time fulfills it's task. And thats what I can't say about me, when being honest! ;)

18:29 I can’t believe that I found a better move than the move that Danya played. when I saw that position I thought that it is better for white to take on f3 with the queen, Qxf3 , not with the g pawn, which is the move that Danya played, because that gives black two difficult choices, one is to trade queens to “ruin “ white’s pawn structure, but It would matter less in a queenless middle game and it would be harder to exploit without a queen . The other choice for black is to refuse the queen trade and move his queen, which would mean that he traded his bishop for a knight without making a dent on white’s pawn structure. So I run that position into stockfish 16.1 and it gave Qxf3 is the best move for white in that position.

I was suprised when I suddenly understood that his last name is Alekhin pronounced like /a-`le-khin/. The pronunciation was probably distorted by French people because he lived in France after 1924.

Can someone explain to me, a chess beginner with 1000 elo on chess.com, when its a good idea to trade pieces and when it isn't? Generally speaking, when you are up material, it often is a good idea. But what about when it's even? Stockfish Analysis always say that taking is the best option. I often pin the knight with my bishop (just like in his first game) and while I always think, that my active bishop is better than his knight in the third row, stockfish always says, that I should take it, but Daniel says that it is a bad move, what I understand as I think the same way..
@ofelipecopywriter
@ofelipecopywriter 3 жыл бұрын
is the position that you get after the trade better for you? in the case of the bishop capturing the knight, it can be good because you double the opponent's pawns, and you can explore that. but you are also giving away your bishop and this can weak some of your squares, and also the opponent with two bishops can get very strong in an open game. it's always about analyzing your pros and cons, and what you can do with the resulting position.
