Other tutorials always suggest putting the dark square bishop on g2 when the opponent goes bd6. Then taking with the h1 pawn if your opponent trades to open up the h file for kingside attacks. I much prefer h3 and the "tuck" method you teach. That way I still have the kingside castle as an option. Also your tips on when to play c4 on turn 3, and when to play bf2 versus bd3 are well explained and succinct. This is already my favorite London System tutorial.

@zHqqrdz 2 жыл бұрын
I think you should play h3 to tuck the bishop in when black plays either bishop g6 or bishop d7, because they're not going to trade that bishop anytime soon and might attack it with knight h5. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not very high elo, but that's what I understood from london studying.

Well that was just one move of the London System, then it was a GM moving positionally like the master he is. He can make any opening to work with those principles.

In game 2 should we ever be worried about opponents ability to play c4 and is there something we should do about this or is that a mistake for them?

@KieranGullon
@KieranGullon Жыл бұрын
If you want to play e4 in the london I'd advise doing it after c4 and knight c3. Generally it leads to different positions though than a classic london. It's not bad per se but it's definitely not a textbook london it's more of a queens gambit type set. Also not the most reliable source as I am only 1200 rated but I'm almost entirely a london player and I usually have 90 or higher accuracy in the opening phase

This might be better with rapid. Blunders at this level in blitz chess are due to time constraints. Since Aman doesn't blunder, and takes no time to see tactics, a lot of these games are really bad examples for beginners and intermediate players.

Why are you only able to include the games with the white pieces? Why are you NOT ABLE to include the games with the black pieces? I understand, those will usually not include the London system, so you probably don't want to include them. But not wanting, and not being able is quite different. Or were you not able to learn proper English?!
