大家好,这个凳子运用的是榫卯的一个工艺,每个零件都是一个独立的个体,可以组装成一个凳子,它可以多次打开再组装,非常的灵活巧妙,非常的有智慧Hello everyone, this stool uses a mortise and tenon process. Each part is an independent individual and can be assembled into a stool. It can be opened and assembled many times. It is very flexible and ingenious, and very intelligent.

This stool is brilliant, and I find it amazing that you do not use nails or glue to keep it together, and that it can be taken apart and remade, especially if one piece becomes dàmaged or brakes, you only need to replace that one section, and not thw whole stool. You are wonderful Grandpa Amu - I wish I had a grandpa like you. 😊

It is brilliant skill. Should see his earlier videos of more complex skills. However, I have noticed that his body movement and co-ordination is slower now then a few years ago. Maybe this is what has been keeping him going and healthy together with the growing up of his grandson. I wish to be that toddler as I love to have the same experience and relationship with my grandfather. I don’t even know my grandfather as he passed away when my father was only 12. Grandpa Amu family - You live in a beautiful area with lovely scenery to wake up to everyday. I am glad that you have Grandpa Amu staying with you at your home during the Covid pandemic. I do miss seeing his little place by the creek, but you are keeping him safe from Covid-19. I absolutely loved the stool... and seeing him using his other tools he made himself to round the legs. I figured out how it was all going to fit together be he assembled it.... and amazed it needed no glue. His grandson is learning an old craft from the Master himself from such a young age.... and hopefully the boy will grow into a man to continue this old way of doing things. As he can always look back in time to see all these videos on KZbin as they will always be here. Now if only all things made in China could be this strong and last forever :-) From a kiwi in Aotearoa, New Zealand :-) :-)

He was using the sandpaper upside down and when he place the stool on the ground at the end, the top is slightly detached and when he sits on it, the gap closes, needs nails or screw i think 😆 love his spirit
@busbusad3 жыл бұрын
nails and screws are for low quality furniture. Top quality furniture never requires a single nail or screw. slightly detached is fine. because of the architect of this wood work, the more you pull a piece out, the bound between two pieces becomes stronger at the connection place. On theory it's almost impossible to break this furniture by simply pulling a piece out. This is also a technique for identifying valuable antique Chinese furniture.
@nlangley1553 жыл бұрын
That technique was too advanced for me! I was glad that he brought it back down to my level by the end, sanding with the grit facing the wood and the numbers out.
