The rural grandfather made the bird-repelling artifact and solved the problem that the rice was stolen. It’s so handsome, it’s really admirable.

Rural Chinese Grandpa is just an amazing craftsman! I love watching the perfect joints and crreative designs. I find it really interesting where he chooses to use new tools and older tools. You can see such a lot of skill in how he makes things. Thanks for the English subtitles for us non-Chinese speaking fans!

I spent over a dozen summers with my wonderful Mexican Grandparents on their farm nestled high in valley surrounded by frequently snow capped mountains. There were chickens, pigs, cows, bees, and donkeys to look after, and there was plenty of love, patience, and interesting tales to go around. Country folk, be they from Wyoming, Russia, China, or South Africa have much in common. The rythm of their lives are closer to that of Creation. This Chinese Grandpa and mine would have liked each other.
