Love the Luban locks. This actually makes a stool that can be disassembled. Grandpa Amu seems to have an endless supply of Pearwood as he builds most projects using it. Wish we had such a beautiful wood to work with here where I live.

This afternoon I made a little picnic table with properly recessed hinges without making a pig's ear of it. Pleased with myself, I came in for 5 minutes for some tea. Then I saw what this old chap can do. My picnic table will never be used with the same pride...😂

Hermoso taburete.

Look for "luban lock toys" or "lu ban lock toys" and start trying to play and understand how to assemble It and how the joints are made. You can also study "traditional chinese architecture". Good luck!

@leoseujuvenal6 ай бұрын
No man! Lu Ban or Luban was a Chinese architect or master carpenter, structural engineer, and inventor, during the Zhou Dynasty. He is revered as the Chinese Deity (Patron) of builders and contractors. The wood looks like "mahogany" (mogno we call it here in Brazil) or "african padouk" or some red wood like that.
