Chicken with okra is a traditional dish from my state, Minas Gerais, in Brazil. The difference is that we serve it with angu, a type of corn polenta.

As someone who comes from a Cajun background hear in the southern US, okra is a major staple of our diet, and we use it in gumbo, etufiee, sucatash, ect. I've never seen okra used in such a unique way, and this is a dish we'll definitely be experimenting and possibly adding in the recipe book. Ty for loving, caring, and sharing the creativity. Food is a gift from The Almighty that connects us. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

Haven't heard of Okra before, but I'm willing to learn to understand its use and expand my palate wider. Thanks to Grandpa Kitchen, we're able to love food again. We use it over here in Venezuela too, although it's not as common as other fruits. We prepare a similar dish to this one, but instead of Chicken, we use Beef Ribs. We also use Coconut milk instead of Coconut powder to thicken the stew at the end. And of course we don't use masala, but our very own spice mix, which consists mostly of Cumin, Black Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder and Achiote. I'm a big fan of Cajun food, glad to see there's people willing to experiment with new ingredients.

We use it in Soup and cooked with smoked meat or fish and spices. I don't like it cooked long because I can't stand the slime Also I use small okras and leave them whole.
