Crazy how lighting conditions change the appearance of that Ocean Gem color. In the thumbnail and most of the walkaround shots, it looks blue. As in...blue. Not aqua or teal, but blue. In some of the driving shots, it looks decidedly greenish teal. When I went to see it in person, it looked greenish teal, not blue. I went there to buy the Ocean Gem, but, honestly, it looked more than a bit geriatric. It looked like it was specifically designed for the elderly. Old women, in particular. On the other hand, a Heavy Metal XLE with the optional blacked out logos parked right next to the Ocean Gem looked surprisingly menacing and a lot more high end, like a German sports sedan. Going in, I wasn't expecting to prefer Heavy Metal over Ocean Gem, but parked side by side in bright sunlight and also with shifting cloud cover it was a no-brainer. As for the road noise, that giant pano sunroof sure isn't helping things. Go without the sunroof and you'll have a better car, a roomier car, a more affordable car, and a quieter car. If you want an even quieter, plusher ride with much better fuel mileage, get the base LE mode and skip the optional sunroof. Functionally, that's the best Camry available right now.

Toyota is almost single-handedly saving sedans. I’ve seen tons of the 25s on the road already. Just wish I could comfortably get in and out of them without flaring up an old knee injury.

Great review. The XLE would be my choice as well. I'm 78, have a Honda CRV Hybrid, and unfortunately, the Accord Hybrid that I am considering only has 2 benefits over the Camry...larger trunk and more rear passenger legroom. But the Camry has lots to offer over the Accord...compact spare (critical here in the desert if you don't want to be towed to a dealer), temp guage (right now I just guess when my engine is warm enough to put the heater on), better hybrid battery warranty (150K miles vs 100K miles), a real tire pressure system (Honda did away with individual tire readings), an EV switch, a touchscreen that doesn't look like it was stuck on top of the dash like the CRV and Accord,, available e-AWD with very little cost in fuel efficiency, more horsepower than Accord, and equal or better EPA figures. I was perturbed that I had to buy a $500 spare tire kit for my CRV, so if I get a sedan, I don't want to have to do that again. Love that Ocean Gem color too! Thanks so much.

The Camry needs a power lumbar option for PASSENGER! The only power passenger option is for highest level XSE or XLE… no lumbar adjustment at all! Only the driver get that benefit! You gave to spend much more for Crown Ltd to get a lumbar option for passes. That option is available for BMW 2 series for $350.

Toyota needs to let the customer choose what they want on it. Not a “package deal of stuff u don’t want. Reslly disappointed in Toyota. They’re not interested in the customers

I think Toyota does a better job than most. For instance you can add all-wheel drive to any trim. You can add a sunroof to any trim. Honda is the worst. They have a take it or leave it mentally.

Never thought I would prefer the front grill on the Honda Accord better. Low profile tires on this car are form over function. They are lousy in the snow and wear out faster than conventional tires. The bumps are felt harder because there is less rubber between the tire and the wheel. Beware of panoramic sunroof's sine they tend to leek and start to creek and pop over time. Also it lessens the rigidity of the roof line. It is a good car but in my option not superior over the Accord.

"A little bit better efficiency"? I certainly would not call the efficiency of the hybrid system "a little bit better" than the V6.

Saying your opinion, but not explaining it is like saying nothing. Other than them removing the V6, the four-cylinder has been improved and power output is now up to 232 hp compared to the regular four-cylinder, which was 203. Plus, it is now even more fuel efficient so how is this the worst?
