@@hassansmw5634 yup it’s crazy how Toyota basically “downsized” the engines in their bigger vehicles except for the Camry Hybrid. The grand Highlander has a similar setup to the Camry. The Camry is definitely overbuilt and that’s why they last so long. You’d think the new Camrys would’ve gotten the Corolla setup but they still put the 2.5 in it. Lol

Went from a Lexus 2005 ES 330 to a 2025 XLE about a month ago. Lexus has always had a great ride. Cant beat the comfort, controls, and mpg of the Camry. Only wish that when you open the driver door at night, the door panel buttons light up to show the unlock button to unlock the other doors. Door panellights up when headlights are on. I also wish the JBl stereo was louder.

Our 2025 XLE AWD is now at 8k. It's a very quiet, comfortable ride indeed, though the seats are somewhat hard, taking a few minutes to get used to, and lacking side support. Not uncomfortable though. The brakes are the best I've ever experienced; great feel. We are at just over 47 mpg over 20 tank fills, now dropping a little as the cold weather kicks in. The car warms up quickly too in freezing temps. When you need acceleration, it really delivers; very punchy! I don't like the Dynamica fabric trim. It should be leather in an XLE. Overall, an awesome sedan. ❤

I drove both. The XLE is marginally quieter due to it having 18 inch wheels versus 19 inch ones. Plus the ride is tuned to be slightly firmer. But to tell you the truth it was a toss up. As I said in my previous post the deal breaker was no memory seats in the XSE which I thought was a serious oversight.
@Joka2122

Fair point and I agree. If you are going for visuals, go with the XSE. If you are thinking functionality and amenities, go with XLE. If you can do without memory seating and a slightly stiffer ride, go with XSE. If you prefer a slightly smoother ride with memory seating, XLE. Hard choices. Wish they made a vehicle that had it all.

@@raymondmiller2780 I was excited about the Crown Signia and drove it in August. Inside is good. But -- low-beam headlight projection is way too low even adjusted to max height with dash control. That was a deal-breaker. It also lacks a spare tire and that is NOT available as an option. Finally, the cost was WAY too high. $56,000 for the upper model as delivered in California. I came to the dealer ready to buy a Crown Signia -- after a night test and looking at the price I said "no way".

Has better driving position than my 2015 Camry, higher ground clearance, floats over rough roads easier, has better headlights(best i have ever seen on any Toyota) , better heat inside in winter and just a tank overall... Camry the best and most reliable car. My mom bought a new 2015 camry during her 50th birthday, she wasn’t really savvy about cars and she drove it until 2023 with 116,000 miles having only 4 oil changes in its life. It looks 8/10 but maintenance was severely neglected. When trade in comes, the dealer paid market price for it and she is now on a 2024 Highlander. Great car. Toyotas are now Premium cars, gone are the days that they are for the masses.

David, You are much more of a world traveler than I will ever be but the last time I checked, Kentucky is substantially closer to Canada than Japan is. For that reason I am confused why Toyota brings the Corolla LE Hybrid all the way across the Pacific but refuses to bring the fabulous Camry LE up from Kentucky*. World famous KZbinr Kirk Kreifels has repeatedly stated the LE is the Camry to get. With snow falling in Ontario as we speak, surely the Camry LE AWD on comfortable 16" rims is the best one for our four seasons. Only when the Camry is again available as a wagon will I consider the possibility that it is superior to the Crown Signia and I bet AMD will agree with me. 😉😉 * I wonder if our PM just rushed to Florida to arrange free trade in Camry LEs. 🤔

I agree with you on almost EVERY point - except ONE, unfortunately. True, they’re beautiful, relatively affordable, efficient, and even sexy to some degree. But, for Toyota to build their mid-sized (and mid-priced) sedans for close to forty years now with NO rear trunk hinge covers and ugly, raw metal exposed is just … inexcusable in my opinion. They may add $10- of plastic per side to the total cost, true, but would improve the looks, the safety, and the CLASS of their sedans by leaps and bounds! Such a misstep is surprising, and not cool at all. 😢

Interesting. I'd lean toward the XSE as it has full leather, while the XLE has cloth with it, but I wonder if the smaller wheels on the XLE would mean a better ride. Reviewers seem to think the real bargain in the line is the LE...cheapest price, lightest weight, best EPA, smoothest riding with small wheels, but I guess I'd be a sucker for the red/black interior on the XSE. I guess my question is was the XSE reasonably comfortable riding with not too much vibration? My wife and I are seniors and we did have a 19" wheeled Mercedes 350 GLC that road well. Thanks.

This 9th gen is cool. But sorry I think the 8th gen is still the better vehicle especially exterior design wise. I just think the 9th gen has a terrible looking front end that looks like a beck/mouth and the tailights are weirdly small looking. Honestly at this point that little lip spoiler should be needed no more its tiny But interior (besides the steering wheel) and tech this one beats it for sure since you get rear vents for all trims levels. The 8th gen gave u all types of powertrain, i4, v6, and hybrid it's still the best gen in my opinion. But this is a very close second. All that said this beats the accord light years away. It's better looking and you get a hybrid powertrain without paying a premium. Plus it isn't hard since the current accord is just disgusting looking.

To me, the 2024 seats are less comfortable than the redesigned seats of 2025 Camry which I find to be very comfortable (my wife thinks it's a bit too hard compared to a Lexus ES300)

I had a 24 XLE and now a 25 XSE and they’re very comfy. Drives amazing and great fuel mileage… and all the tech with the premium plus, HUD, cooled seats, 360 cam.

Toyota Camrys are “overbuilt” compared to other Toyota vehicles and that’s a good thing. They downsized the engines in the bigger vehicles and kept the same size engine in the hybrid Camry. The Toyota Grand Highlander has a 2.5l hybrid engine while the Camry Hybrid has a 2.5l engine. Camrys are hard to beat.

What color is that 2025 XSE with the black roof? Is that the AWD or FWD?

It may be the best made sedan but not the most satisfying to drive and own. I've owned both Camry and Accord vehicles. The Honda in my opinion was much more satisfying to drive and own.

Wish it had a bit more horsepower closer or equal to 300hp. Maybe a sports trim. That would sell.

I have a 2013 Camry I love my car. My only issue is it burns oil and I was told that once it reaches over 100,000 miles it tends to burn oil faster. Can anyone else let me know if they have this issue as well? Other than that it’s a great car.

The 2ARFE engine burns oil but it is a good engine. Make sure you change your oil every 5,000 miles or 6 months.

Seats are NOT comfortable with the narrow bump that is supposed to be a cushion and located at the bottom of the seat against the back seat. Also, the pre collision system seems defective. After driving 3 hours, the car started to shake right and left on the highway, needed to stop as it was very very dangerous. When i started it back, same thing. Needed to be towed
