I had HIFU several years ago, though I still would do it again if I had to. I did have several adverse reactions. And even though my entire prostate was treated, by the end of the year my prostate was hollow. I just had yet another surgery for stricture, and discovered the median lobe has grown completely back. Has anyone seen that (growing back)?

Can the patient demand general anesthesia for the procedure?
