Henry Wallace: possibly the greatest man ever in the White House who we never learn about in our schools. Glad to see this foundation continues his legacy.

Thanks for great and true comment. Oh that we had Henry today, pursuing his peace plans in this hellish world and not with our fascist state to take him down. JFK had a wake up, a vision in 1962 and began dismantling CIA but there were too many plus LBJ wd love his murder so he'd escape charges against him...Crazy Curtis Lemay hated Kennedy and his peace talk. Proven fact that Nixon, LBJ, Edgar Hoover and elder Bush all were in Dallas that day, some the night before at oilman Clint Murchison's home celebrating for the next day murder of one a 1,000 times better than all of this scum put together. It breaks my heart today as it did in '63 when 20 years old...and I knew, just knew this (or the RFK & MLK murders were not lone nuts.) We were having fascist America...until the empire goes down and may that day hasten.

Its about time someone noticed Henry Wallace. As a Historian I consider him significant. An important historical step he took as FDR's VP, when he reconstructed the American economy out of the Great Depression into the glorious years of the New Deal. The current American working class, what is left of it, owes its middle class status to Henry Wallace more than they do to FDR.

Henry Wallace must be so very proud of his grandson and this foundation! Surely, he smiles down on him from heaven. God bless you and your work.

Many wonder what the World would have been like if Roosevelt didn’t betray Henry A. Wallace in 1944 and by doing so; support Wall Street instead of the people. Wallace was a visionary, an antifascist, and a true man of the people and Scott must be immensely proud of his grandfather.

Barry Allard - The more I look behind the curtain of FDR, the more you appear to be correct. So many unanswered questions - why did FDR roll over on the prosecution of the oligarchs of the time that attempted the 1933 fascist coup? etc. etc. There is only one certainty in all of this; history written by the corporate state is a major part of the deception of this current democracy.

It thrills my old heart to see D. Now and Amy showing this piece about Scott Wallace, grandson of Henry Wallace, one who almost became our president instead of the arrogant, ignorant little bastard Truman who was a toy in the U.S.fascist hands...the 1st president to drop 2 atomic bombs on civilians in Japan that his big name generals advised him not to& was unnecessary. We had one more after Wallace...JFK...he too a true peacemaker and much like Wallace...he'd be murdered by the fascists Wallace predicted would arrive...they are in very strong and full strength and full force after Truman and the unknown IKE built this damning CIA & Corporate up...John Kennedy, then Bobby Kennedy never had a prayer of a chance...America will remain # 1 warmongering nation, Vietnam, other wars that now are endless until one day the empire goes down. Thank God the day it does...the evil done in the name of peace and freedom. I have a great moment though with the Wallace mention...Thank you Amy Goodman and Scott Wallace! Thank you....wl

Henry A. Wallace was a true American hero, principled, beyond intelligent, and as Vice President worked hard to save the family farm. He was never too busy to speak to anyone, on any subject. I was excited to meet the Wallace family at the production of my play, based on the book, AMERICAN DREAMER: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF HENRY A WLLACE, by Senator John Culver. I was sure of his awesome star dust had been passed through the family. The family I met was snobbish, disliked the play because it was honest about Henry A, honest about all the great things he did, and honest about his spiritual life. One family member told me there was too much God in the play. Henry A. stated that his faith was his number one priority.. Scott Wallace took me o task for a line that was the actor's fault and told me I had portrayed his grandfather as a jerk. Scott Wallace is on the right side of many causes, but he was on the wrong side of the play. He understood nothing about it, and was instrumental I'm sure, in preventing me from writing the screenplay about Henry. A. You're rich, Scott, and I'm not. You have the power that money brings, all I have is the written word. I'm proud of what I wrote and glad I had a chance to refute you.If you have more to say, bring it on. I'm from Chicago, I'm a Democrat and I'm Italian and I'm afraid of neither your money nor your power.

Like (grand) father like (grand) son ❤❤ It’s heartening to learn that like Mahatma Gandhi, the great legacy of Henry A. Wallace lives on and hope heroes of humanity life him will be elected - outside the two-headed serpent in power (this year literally looks like the Donkey and the Elephant).

I applaud this but at the same time, I have to say Standing Rock Tribe was not the only tribe there, nor are they the only tribes who are struggling with such problems. I believe this award & monies should be spread between all tribes. I feel the same way regarding casino monies & that they should be put in one pot for all tribes equally.
