How to Get the BEST Hunter Pets: Wolf, Devilsaur & Wasp in WOTLK

In prepatch, won't tamed pets automatically boost to within 2 levels of you anyway? I'd say go for the one that looks the best to you

I haven't heard of pets being boosted in levels anywhere before, nor experienced it on the Wrath beta or current PTR.

I can only get 13 talent points for my pet now during pre patch as marksmanship. That means I can't even get to the bottom of the talent tree. Is that only for BM?

so my guild uses an owl for ap reduction in tbc, I found out that that ability gets renamed and moved to carrion birds. does it still stack with similar abilities thouth or is it purely a replacement for demo roar or demo shout now?

AFAIK none of the hunter pet abilities that cause debuffs that share the same effect as something an actual class brings will be stackable at all.

Dows the level of the pet matter? if i level up lower level pets they wont be eventually the same? Sry for the noob question never played hunter

No worries! If you level up a pet it would be the same as getting one at that level so it's only really if you like the way a pet looks, etc.

With good gear and stats mm is on top then Codes survival and after that BM. I would level as BM, after you reach 80 Pick up survival until you have good raiding gear then switch to MM

Unless you are in a hardcore guild raiding, you dont need to push the extra few dps. Pick you favorite and enjoy the game. Performance is close enough.

if i tame a level 57/60 devilsaur, should i manually level it at lvl 70? Does it get instantly killed by lvl 69/70 mobs?

The devilsaur will level up to 65 when you tame him at 70.

@@RedzyTV Yup, that’s why I love BM so much. Sadly it took two expansions for BM to become a real competitor. I’ve been playing it on a MoP server and have had a blast hunting down exotic beasts and topping the meters on those burst fights. My BM hunter in siege of orgrimmar can burst for almost 700k!

All pet families have been split into 3 types now which share the exact same stats. No more exotic pests with variable attack speeds.

@@TheAwkwardBubbles Sure they do. If you have a good boomkin in your guild, you’ll bring them to speed up your trash clear + buff raid & utility. Their dps is pretty above average on bosses anyway.
