Written by Al Gorgoni & George McMahon, this song was released in April 1986 by the cast of the classic BBC children's TV series Grange Hill. The single's B-Side was an instrumental version of the same track.
The phrase Just Say No was used in the 1980s on both sides of the Atlantic as a slogan to discourage the young from using or experimenting with drugs.

I once stayed up all night working on a project, and for some reason had this song playing in the background over and over on a loop for hours. I was just too engrossed in the work to change it. LOL I sure know how to party! :D

I was 14 when this was released. I have never took drugs,smoked and I drink VERY little. People day that is because I didn't hang around with people who did. I am a Christian but still listen to secular music and have mostly secular interests. I guess it's just not in me to have any vices. But now chocolate and fish and chip that's a different matter.😆

The message of 'be yourself' and 'follow your heart' is not only clichéd, it's a totally irresponsible message. Humans have evil tendencies-they should NOT be encouraged! People should be told 'do as you're told' 'respect the law' and 'fall in line'.

I once smoked cannabis and was lead into a life of crime that ended up with me stealing a full tank of Petrol from a garage in Woking , I have never been the same person since and constantly have bad dreams about the people who suffered as a result of my actions.. I blame drugs for this and people of your type who think it is all a big joke, fortunately I have been drug and crime free from that night, I bet you probably take drugs and shirk your responsibilities on a regular basis.. you are a criminal and deserve to be put in prison.. only god can judge you now
