That struggle is real. People who have lived for 80+ years are not allowed a single drop of wine (or spirit) during their last years, just because they can't clean their apartment and go shopping on their own. People who are very clear of mind, and extremely bored, and have some fond memories of dinners with wine or a slouchy afternoon with a glass of Whiskey, are not allowed to do what anyone should be allowed in that position. remember and reliving the good old days.

I really sympathize. My grandma punched another resident over a game of Rummy. The home banned her from the games room. Then they took the residents on an outing and Grandma got drunk! She sent a selfie to my Mom! Hilarious, yet haunting.

One of my favourite stories from the nursing home was the old guy giving out raisins to anybody who'd have one. This guy was not known for his cheery demeanour and sharing. Actually, yes - thanks - probably has many uses - hard of hearing, etc. For me it often helps if something is said softly or quickly that I don’t quite catch (and as you know, EVERY word is critical in these sketches!) and if I’m unable to grasp what they say due to the accents they use or words they use that are unique to whatever language they’re speaking in, including their Irish English. So, yes, definitely a BIG thanks to always including the subtitles! 🤗❤️💕 (I’ve learned quite a few Irish English expressions and words from these sketches thanks to the subtitles and google!)

Good Morning from Ottawa, Canada! Last week, KZbin dropped one of your older skits on my page; since then, I've been binging on everything I can find. Going back as far as 2010; the skits remain bright, pertinent, and hilarious. Being an Old Age pensioner, now with grandchildren, the character of Barry - your kid's dreadful best friend who treats your home like it's his own - makes me laugh the hardest. ​@@foilarmsandhog There were plenty of Grans AND Gramps in the residential care home I volunteered at a long time ago! The Grans and Gramps were usually elderly people that were just like Gran, but they were probably narcissists and I predict that their adult children put them in the home and never came to visit them unless they absolutely had to because they were such awful parents to them when they were growing up and all throughout their adulthood. D': The elderly residents at the home who were nice people though were the only ones that I noticed who recieved visits from their relatives, children, and grandchildren. I myself had a grandmother who was just like Gran, but she passed away a long time ago and I don't miss her that much. :'D But this was a fun sketch as always, Foil Arms and Hog! Keep up the amazing work! = )

"Bingo." Oh that sketch was brilliant lads! 😆 so many hilarious moments I can't decide which one is my favorite! Granny reminds me of my grandfather when he was in a senior home. He got his electric wheelchair taken away because he rolled over a woman...and when my aunt asked him why, he said "I told her to get out of the way and she wouldn't." She then told him, "Dad, she's deaf."
