I've been trying to find this pattern for years. My grandmother had this as a bedspread on her bed . I never knew what happened to her spread but it was beautiful. Hers was done with thread like she used for her doilies. She was fast and amazing with crocheting. I was very young when she would have me set across from her and teach me to crochet as I'm left handed and she was right handed. She never knitted though so I learned how to knit through 4-h . Sorry for the book but this pattern has brought back many memories of my grandmother.

Omg I am SO thankful I found you again!! I got sick and I've been battling it since and in the process of it all, I suffered a stroke that partially paralyzed the dominant side of my body. I found myself struggling to do a lot of things that I once enjoyed and 1 was crochet. I struggle to securely grasp your typical crochet hook and it ends flopping or slipping from my hand. It got very discouraging 😞 I ended up buying a set of ergonomic hooks that included various sizes and it is still a little challenging but it's manageable. I can't wait to crochet with you again! I remember my 1st project I did with you was 1 of your chicken potholder. It's still hanging on my kitchen wall. I wanted him as a decoration instead of a potholder. My family ended up loving them so I made 8 more lol

I understand your frustration. I have end stage rheumatoid arthritis. It’s taken so much from me. I’m mostly in bed 24/7 unless I have a doctor’s appointment. Which seems to be constant. Fortunately I’m blessed with the best husband. He took early retirement to take care of me. I’m blessed. I hope you’ll be able to crochet again very soon.

Thank you for counting the stitches in the rows around the rose. I am working on an afghan for next Christmas and am sure this will make adding the borders much smoother. It will hve multi colored roses with a kelly green border, which I am using around the edging for a smoother transition. I think my friend Rosie will love it.

My instant reaction was that has to be Crystal and reminds me so much of the Sesame Street CAL we are doing. Only have the first two done as have to finish 2nd baby blanket as baby due any day and then start 3rd ( 3 grandkids in same family in 7 months). Will take breaks to get 2 year old big sister's Sesame Street blanket done at least by her birthday.. You are so creative . 😊 😁

I'm loving this design alot. I need to make one in various weights of yarn so I can decide where to go from there. I have many thoughts from afghan to wreath to design on a purse. It's so beautiful and I'm afraid it may be heavy for an afghan but lightweight yarn with multi colored rose. 🤗😇

I love, love, love your channel. You have so many useful patterns. I’m working on this 3D rose afghan now, and I did one square of the sunflower pattern, just to try it out - I’ll make an afghan later. Both are so much fun to work, and they’re so beautiful. For the 3D rose, I found that my roses generally came out better if I finished rolling them up before sewing them together. Your channel is a great resource. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Well I am now setting down to do it. I’m making a purse. Just have to decide what design layout I like the best. Then maybe I’ll try it in thread and make a bedspread. I use to be able too crochet with sewing thread. I gave them away except for two pieces, a doily and a pig but I can’t find them. I think they must be in my extra bedroom that I can’t get in! Rheumatoid Arthritis has taken my ability to crochet with threads. I’m heartbroken. I wanted to crochet my favorite doily patterns in thread to frame for my daughter then my granddaughter.
