I don’t watch golf on tv. But here I am on a Thursday afternoon lunch break watching a you tube golfer. It’s just different 🤷🤘
@dorothygale11047 ай бұрын
Yeah, the difference is one is a sports competition and the other is an entertainment video in which golf is played. The quality of the golf doesn’t matter in a video posted by a KZbin golfer, as evidenced by the fact that Grant shot a 79 and yet he got a lot of views for this video. Those who watch pro golf on tv (or any other device) are interested in the sports competition of the event, not whether the players are funny or engaging personally. But it is interesting to note that in the qualifying event that Grant played in none of the YT golfers were chatting and chirping like they do in their videos. When golfer’s are competing for prize money or a chance to get into a tournament, they get serious real fast and all the entertaining banter gets put aside. Grant even noted that George was not the talkative George we see in his videos. If you saw Wesley compete in the Tour event last weekend in which he came in 2nd place, he was dead serious and wasn’t the talkative Wesley from his videos.
@danieldunn2937 ай бұрын
I appreciate seeing every shot and how a good golfer works to get themselves out of sticky situations. It’s not just about the entertainment, it’s an entertaining education for me.

What a great video. We get to watch a scratch golfer under tournament pressure that he's not used to play a hard course. My takeaway was if you don't have a strong passion to be a PGA tournament golfer don't put yourself through this, which is what Grant says about himself in a lot of his videos. He's so good at what he does and what he likes to do. Just keep being you, Grant.

Grant- I’ve played in a number of tournament qualifiers and I can tell you that I have been so nervous that I felt my skeleton got up and went home without me. Being “on edge” can be helpful because you consider all the factors before you commit to a swing. However, being really nervous creates tunnel vision, and also restricts muscle movement. My advice is to play as you normally would play understanding that there’s always another tournament if this one doesn’t go well. Have a good time and appreciate the moment rather than fear it. I wish you every success!

Man (this is NOT a slag), this makes me feel better about my golf. You play so insanely good that sometimes folks watching forget that this game can be really, really difficult. I'm not even in your universe, skills wise, but seeing someone as good as you struggle with balls into water, OB, doubles, etc. re-enforces to us high handicappers that even the best find this game tough, so don't get down on yourself. Sorry you didn't make it, but your attitude and skill is inspiring, thanks.

The value this provides for Amateurs who risk signing their name on a card….its huge! Tip of the cap to Horvat! Great contribution to the few who try to grind

You’re class at golf so seeing how nerves and adrenaline affect your game shows how more need to relax. I watched the play myrtle beach whole comp video and could see it with everyone. Tyler looked class for someone so young

Crazy round of golf. As I was watching I did not realize you did not make a bogey until 15. Great experience for you and your fans. The slogan "These guys are good" is no joke.
