Grant, we are so proud of you. As a teaching professional and watching this. I just wished you could have been more committed through your shots. For people that do not or have not played high level tournament golf. Nerves are tough to work through. I loved how you said in the video to control your breathing. Great job Grant. Please do it next year. On another note. I am tired of all the "Haters" towards Micah. Micah, if you read the comments. Keep grinding. I would actually love to see you go spend time with Grants father and dial in your tempo and swing. Your search for your true swing could come down to this. Once again Grant. It is funny how much better a 79 sounds than an 80. Same goes for 39 vs 40 on a 9 hole round. Me and my dad used to joke about that when I played HS golf. Lost him to Parkinson’s and miss him a ton. He came to every single match and tournament. Was there standing green side when I won my first tournament, made my first hole in one, etc. Definitely a gift to have a father who’s that invested in your passions and dreams.

@dorothygale1104
@dorothygale1104 11 күн бұрын
Yeah, the difference is ond is a sports competition and the other is an entertainment video in which golf is played. The quality of the golf doesn’t matter in a video posted by a KZbin golfer, as evidenced by the fact that Grant shot a 79 and yet he got a lot of views for this video. Those who watch pro golf on tv (or any other device) are interested in the sports competition of the event, not whether the players are funny or engaging personally. But it is interesting to not that in the qualifying event that Grant played in none of the YT golfers were chatting and chirping like they do in their videos. When golfer’s are competing for prize money or a chance to get into a tournament, they get serious real fast and alk the entertaining banter gets out aside. Grant even noted that George was not the talkative George we see in his videos. If you saw Wesley compete in the Tour event last weekend in which he came in 2nd place, he was dead serious and wasn’t the talkative Wesley from his videos.
@danieldunn293

Love this video. As you are talking about nerves and settling into the round, I can feel myself fully absorbing that energy and I can truly relate, both to playing tournament golf 1000 years ago for me and just getting out on the course now trying to get my channel going and grinding all the time to become the player you are....I noticed that the first few holes you were a little quick from the top and not fully finishing your backswing. I do the same thing during play(most people do I think) and watching the videos back on myself playing it is truly aggravating to watch. Its like I am making a completely different swing than normal. You played really well man. Your short game looked really good and of course you are a phenomenal player. This is AMAZING for the You Tube Golf world for sure. I foresee many more of these events coming soon and you will certainly be in them. Enjoy this ride dude, its been fun to watch. Can't wait for more....!!!

Great job, you are really consistent on your other videos, the main difference here is your self talk. Crazy how much it really matters talking to yourself positive or negative.

Grant, this is a pressure which you have not felt in quite a while. You have to experience that pressure and slowly get comfortable with it to overcome it. You are a great golfer, just keep putting yourself in those positions and they will get easier.

Crazy round of golf. As I was watching I did not realize you did not make a bogey until 15. Great experience for you and your fans. The slogan "These guys are good" is no joke.

Yeah when I watched especially early on in the round, I noticed your swing seemed timid and you definitely weren’t swinging freely. Really trying to guide your shots to stay out of trouble. I’m sure the nerves were flowing. Just having that opportunity is incredible and you held your own. A couple holes got away but that happens man! Golf is hard! Good luck in the future! Henry’s a legend!!!

Hey Grant. Great stuff! You have my utmost respect. These tournaments are not easy. I've played various sports competitively like baseball, basketball, and Thai Kick boxing. Golf for me was the most challenging and nerve racking. I noticed if I wasn't mentally and emotionally relaxed /calm at my center it definitely affects the end of my club. Man I love this sport lol. I wish you lots of luck and success in this sport! I look forward to all your videos.

I'm a very casual golfer who plays maybe once a month on average, but loves it. Having someone like Henry on the bag would be amazing. He's great.
