Grant mentioning that Brady's plus minus is negative every year is rather funny because I love the Habs but Suzuki is ALSO negative every single year but that doesn't mean he's bad or bad defensively in the slightest.. pretty strange take by him. Not to mention Brady is only -1 on a bottom feeder team.. put this kid on a team like Florida I can guarantee he's like at least +20 and this is coming from a die hard Habs fan. 😂

He’s horrible defensively compared to Suzuki lmaoo 😂

I would take Brady Tkachuk on the Habs for sure. Tkachuk with Slaf and Suzuki would be insane ib rhe pkayoffs.
@lauigАй бұрын
I wouldn't. Brady cost the Sens 63, yes SIXTY THREE, 4 on 5 situations last year, he's already up to 64 this season. That's more than one third of all the PKs they had to deal with. Over a third of all PKs in the season from just one single skater. He's not the guy you need in the playoff until he finally stops being the liability with a temper that prevents you from getting there in the first place.

Great show!

NHL Central scouting listed Quinn Hughes at 5'10". Not 5'9". 5'10" is still crazy short for a defenseman though.

Man I really wanted tkachuk when the habs were drafting at 3 but it is what it is. I think the playoffs will tell who should have been picked first between hughes and tkachuk cause both are good choices but I can see tkachuk being an x-factor in the playoffs (if they make it, right Grant! Haha) hughes will have to prove his worth in the playoffs because he is gonna have a huge target on him and if he can't handle the heat give me tkachuk first overall and if he excels he is no doubt the best player in that draft.

Great stuff guys. Brady is the guy for me. Noah is a beast.

If I was building a team from scratch and had a choice between Hughes and Tkachuk it'd be a hard choice. I know Ottawa hasn't made playoffs yet with him, but he's someone I'd take on my team all day long for a playoff run.

Hughes is not made for the playoffs. Too soft ... One bodycheck away from golf season

Good for Rocco for take the high road with KK after the Tkachuk ribbing. And I’m a Habs fan.
Saw Brady’s hands, size, skill and attitude in that outdoor game before the draft. I was shocked when we didn’t take him. It wasn’t even close. And he seemed like a Bergie type player… years of midgets and we finally get a power forward thrown in our lap and don’t take him

+/- are so meaningless wrt individual player evaluations..
Tkachuck is what the Habs need. They need two like him. ... The Habs FORWARDS , I repeat Forwards are SOFT. Trade Caufield + Evans + 1st rounder ( 7th pick ) for Brady ........ THERE IS A 50% CHANCE THAT CAUFILED WILL SCORE 40 GOALS; -only 50%........ THERE IS A 100% CHANCE THAT Brady Tkachuk WILL SCORE 30+. BUT Brady will be a huge power-forward inflicting pain & fear... Hockey is a game of 1.skill, 2.brains AND 3.intimidation .... Habs should try to get all three from each player they have in their system. Groom players that way ..... SCREW CONCEPTS that target skill and fast breakouts only ...... Stop getting Beaten up by opponents forwards....... Let your opponents know that you will HIT EVERYTHING IN SITE AND REPOSSES THE PUCK ASAP..

Rocco is right the rest of Ottawa is the issue. Tkachuk had 83 points last year. He should have been an hab this is from a guy who was pumping kotkaniemi. Kotkaniemi is a bust. Tkachuk makes batherson better.

Catton is already eliminated from the WHL playoffs. Perimeter player. Would much rather Tij.
@powers1500Ай бұрын
Montreal needs a top 6 player with size....Catton has skills/talent but not the size needed since Montreal has already too many of those undersized players. Lindstrom, Eiserman or Iginla... if they don't draft one of those high end defensemen !!!
@powers1500Ай бұрын
After watching this podcast, Grant's credibility is not looking that good. Still putting KK in the top10 in his 2018 redraft and then trying to put on a show to make Tkachuk look bad because he likes better Hughes better; kind of silly...Indeed Grant, shutt up and eat your humble pie !!!
@kolebowyer3837Ай бұрын
Yeah, he was extremely annoying this episode. He obviously doesn't watch hockey. It's like he looked at all of their stats and never seen them play, except "KK". Shit rolls downhill and the players have been hit with the franchises struggles over the years. DJ Smith was the problem. He was a suck up and not a good coach at all. Ottawa has lacked a good system that opens the play of their talent for years.
@powers1500Ай бұрын
@@kolebowyer3837 Ottawa has a good team with a lot of high end talents, it just a matter of finding the right coach...to make the playoffs; this also applies to Buffalo !!!
