Anyone who is still having a problem with the new vicar after the season finale is not paying attention. Tom Brittany is marvelous actor and he has a grip on his character. He has great chemistry with all the other actors and is lucious to look at. The change has opened new opportunities for the whole cast and I am really loving it. I'm hoping for many more seasons of Grantchester.

Tom Brittney is Fantastic in Grantchester. He is such a great actor. I love this show. He so easy on the eyes too.

I thought he was amazing. Will is such a likeable character because he is so real and charming in his own way.

I adore, adore, adore the yin/yang relationship between Geordie and Will, and the fact that both have some kind of deep rage and sadness simmering just beneath the surface for differing reasons that occasionally bubbles to the surface. I think Sidney’s storyline had reached its conclusion and it was time to change gears with a new vicar as the 1950s comes to a close and at the dawn of a turbulent 1960s decade that tested everything we knew about life. I can’t wait for Season 7 (I already watched Season 6 to its conclusion, wondering if Leonard has now been permanently defrocked and if Henry stays the new curate to keep tensions running high between the bishop and Will). That’s apparently going to take us into the dawn of the 1960s and everything that was all about. Can’t wait! Long live Grantchester! ❤️

I love this video so much and I love Will with all my heart. The face he makes when Geordie says not everyone can be saved broke my heart. He’s so precious 🥺❤️

It's a pleasure that Tom and James due great justice to the part. The episodes are enjoyable to watch and I enjoy the sermons and how they correspond to the adventure. Love both men as they convey their stories,

I like him as much as I liked James Norton. Both men have individual talents and one is not better than the other, in my humble opinion

Watching Season 4 right now. I was really nervous I wasn't gonna like the new vicar--- purely on the basis that I liked the chemistry between Chambers and Geordie and it was going to be hard to build a new relationship. But this is actually the smoothest transition ever. I quite like Will Davenport. I am actually beginning to like him more than Chambers. Chambers had to go--- he was too whiny and I was growing tired with his same ol cycle of " Oh I don't know if this is my calling--- never mind, God is everything." Ugh... Make up your mind Chambers! Davenport is more mysterious and also more likeable. Truth is, for me the real protagonist will always be Geordie! As long as Robson Green stays, I'll still keep watching.

I'm from Norway and I think Sidney has just left. I'm not sure, but the final scene in episode 2 was when he gave the present to Geordie and they had «one last game» at the pub. I am excited about the new vicar, Will, who appeared in the first episode. I will miss Sidney, because I like him a lot, but I'm also excited about the new vicar. I'm glad that nothing about what I read earlier, didn't happen, that someone else was playing Sidney, but a new vicar and a new name on him. Let James Norton be the one only Sidney.
