This makes the Polyend Tracker like a whole new instrument! Really impressive!

This is excellent, by far the most convincing take on granular I've seen on Tracker.

What an inventive way to use the tracker! I used it for a sample of my Tibetan Singing Bowl and it sounds amazing. My spouse was entranced! Thank you for sharing!

The latest beta introduces the ability to save and load instruments (not just sounds) which will make this so much easier to achieve. Thanks for sharing!
@lolf37822 жыл бұрын
this is true. one of the things I do already which isn't shown in this video is just keep a template project with 8 instruments already setup. then you can just load a new sample into that instrument and it leaves all the instrument settings unchanged. very fast way to swap out the underlying sample.

I believe you can resample on the tracker so get all this ambient the way you want then resample down to one track?

That's amazing! It never came to my mind to create custom 'chords' using the pattern swap feature on the Perform screen. Just that idea alone would have made this a video worth watching. Combined with everything else covered here, it's pure bliss
@lolf37822 жыл бұрын
Thank you! So... you are right on your guess about the normalizing. I don't know for sure, I haven't measured the levels through every part of the signal path, but my theory is that it is best to keep some headroom at every part of the path. Example: sometimes if you set the resonance high on the instrument filter, you will hear clipping. so I keep some headroom in the sample so that whatever filter or distortion or fx don't peak. Not sure if it is truly needed but I think paying attention to levels is important for a clean sound out of the tracker.
@bahutu8022 жыл бұрын
@@lolf3782 Thanks a lot for the answer. Yeah, I noticed that clipping as well with high resonance etc.. Good to know that this might be one building block to avoid it.

@Watche7772 жыл бұрын
Exquisite. Can this be resampled from performance mode or would you need to create a specific pattern for one of the chords?
@lolf37822 жыл бұрын
Excellent question! This is a limitation of the tracker. You cannot resample from perf mode (unless you go to external device of course). You also cant automatically convert a performance setting to a pattern (which would be super cool) so yeah, resample = build a pattern.

s it possible to do an Interstellar remix only on the polyend tracker ? I'm looking for a groovebox/sequencer-synth, which could do some cinematographic music, if you know something like that, let me know please

Do you have a tuner hooked up to the tracker or is there an internal one that I have missed?
@lolf37823 жыл бұрын
I was running a tuner off screen in Ableton. It would be great if tracker had one built in.
@gimmemovieth2 жыл бұрын
Are you using additional reverb other than the tracker's native one? I can't get mine to sound that good.
@lolf37822 жыл бұрын
All the sound is just the tracker and it's internal reverb. If your sound is getting too muddy, it's all about tuning those levels and filters, and also picking a sample that is a consistent pitch. The reverb settings I am using are at 4:05.

mine's pretty stable altough i've had more than enough freezes and stuff... but this is the first version of a new kind of product, so i'm patient. and very happy with what they've managed to do so far. i'm really looking forward to a tracker 2.0 in a couple years time!
