Just finishing up our 6 weeks in France. We're down 👇 in Provence for half of it in Arles, Montpellier and spent 5 days in Lyon. Staying at Marlene's Airbnb in the Passage Thiere in the 11th. Wonderful courtyard. Off to visit the Opera today and the Perchoir rooftop bar tonight. Used your guide along. We are very good 🍳 cooks so bought our lamb,chicken, shrimp and salmon at the Bastille market. Can't wait to get back to Calgary Alberta Canada next week.

Missed you by one day. We were there on Saturday. Hadn’t been to Sacre Coeur before and just decided to go that day. No idea the harvest festival was going on and it was a madhouse. Climbed the stairs of death right next to the Funiculaire. Talking about a good leg workout. Had a greAt time exploring the area.

They were just finishing off that new building up from Abbesses when I was there in April. There’s a great record shop there too if I remember! Wow what a fantastic day that looked with wonderful weather Did you catch any of the parade down to the vineyard? Just shows what an amazing city Paris is - you summed it up perfectly! All in all a grand day out ! 👍👍 PS wine in the morning sounds pretty dammed fine to me !

I love Montmartre. I hate the know it al snobs that say "oh its just so touristy" stay away. BS!! I go up there every time I'm in Paris. I have painting I bought there on my first trip in 1999 and it' has been wonderful to look at all these years. I take the funicular. The metro is enough stairs for moi.

Pamela, I've been wondering as I watch Jay's vids & others where they take stairs up: Unless I just missed it, is there a reason (perhaps a long cue) to NOT take the funicular, at least on the way up??

@@scottlindsly LOL You can see the stairs from the funicular. There's a whole lot of them. If I was young and could do it, I'd take the stairs. When you live in Paris and do all those stairs all the time you can do it. I don't know how the smokers do it. Another reason I don't do the stairs is I have COPD, smoked for years. I'd probably use the buses if I get back there. I'd love one more trip. My friend and I were in London and Paris for a month in 2019 and by the time I got home I had thighs like rocks!!!!😃😁
