Very helpful info, one question - For a person who's lived over a year in France with a foreign driving license - assuming I do not get a French driving license soon - can one still drive in other EU countries with my valid non EU country license + IDP?

M going to Paris for short work trip on August 10. In the late stage of Paris Olympics. Hope it won’t be too crowded.

From the USA. You speak too faast. Its hard to follow you ans I am Americn. Also did the combination of the first 4 arrondssments really get rolled into one?

Hi Denise! Thanks for your feedback. Just so you know, you can actually slow videos a bit by hitting the gear sign in the bottom right :D Also I've done an individual one on each arrondissement twice now, and have a new channel devoted to Paris tips - so don't worry, every one has had/will have will have its moment ;)

What do you mean by your birth certificate is not issued? Even though you were not born in France, you will now get a French birth certificate, then your French Passport?
@JaySwansonКүн бұрын
Yep, exactly!

I just got back from nine days in Paris. I was staying on Ave de St-Ouen so Batignolles was very close. I loved that whole neighborhood; great shopping, wonderful restaurants and the Be Bop Bar was the perfect spot for an evening cocktail.

I like how she made sure to have room to dry her bedding...a dude would just throw them out and get new ones.

French bureaucracy is a bit slow. When I got my Canadian citizenship, I applied just the day after for a passport and I did not have any issue. Different country.

This is something I struggle with, I want to give, but I'm always concerned about how the person spends that money. I would rather give food etc. although I have had some people refuse a gift of food. so what can you do? 🤷♂

Also, in my parents generation, you took a job and stayed with it for forty years and then retired, now people can change their minds, you don't have to find the winning formula on the day you graduate.

I wish someone had told me this as a young adult. a friend of mine who has had some fame, always says it took her 15 years to be become an over night sensation. Wise words indeed.

super informative and super easy to follow, i'm still binge watching, so apologies if you have already covered this in another vlog. but the metro signs that are above grounds and say either metro on a red background or metropolitan in a fancy script. do they mean anything different or is it just the style that was in fashion when that station was opened?
@JaySwanson2 күн бұрын
Just the style! Be sure to check out www.youtube.com/@paris.in.my.pocket for an updated metro guide!
