The website and KZbin thumbnail modifications were bang on accurate. Feeling sad, Canva couldn't do justice with their designs. I simply love their blogs where we can learn theoretically, but never liked their designs. The worst part is that they couldn't get the artwork on India correct with messed up flag colours. I loved the way you modified all the designs and the way contrast, hierarchy and balance was added (basic design principles put to use appropriately).

I love how you didn’t use the the layout of the Indian flag, but still used its colors in the design, my favorite design change of the three. Each of the designs you tweeked were so much better looking and got their key points across so much more effectively. Thank you for sharing your improvements and ways to look at design.

Extremely annoying. I’m pissed with whoever created it
@cameronfowler94513 жыл бұрын
@@Dsupernova27 I mean graphic design is about the designers ability to design and not necessarily the platform they use. I don't really feel threatened by Canva because I know what my work is worth and really only want to work with people who value what I do. I think canva is great for people who are just starting outvand learning the basics. And I kinda use it in my screening questions for if I want to to work with a client or not. It weeds out the more difficult clients who don't value graphic design work

Wonderful video, thank you! Quick question! You know how Canva has a "library" of resources (graphics in particular) that are available to use in designs - is a similar feature available for adobe illustrator, photoshop, indesign, etc. that can be used in projects for both personal and commercial use? Or is every graphic, or photograph that you create (and other designers create) hand-drawn/made? Where do a lot of these graphics come from? - Just curious because I am always a bit confused about what can be used for personal vs. commercial use, and where do these resources come from? Thanks so much!

According to their website, any free item is available for commercial and non-commercial use without extra cost. There are some fine lines in there, too www.canva.com/policies/free-media/

@@Sim_Pole thanks! Yes I know Canva has that feature, but was just wondering about Adobe in particular, if they have a similar "library" of resources to use
@N-methyl1phenylpropan-2-amine2 жыл бұрын
It depends tbh. If its something like a logo design or some dedicated artwork resembling a brand then of course you draw/design everything from scratch. However, if its some elements for social media posts, banners etc. then designers don't really do all of these by hand, as its time consuming and works like these usually need to be done very quickly + the artwork doesn't have to be the absolute best. This is when we borrow elements from freepik, envato elements, storyset, flaticons etc. You must subscribe to their premium plans if you want to use them for your clients (envato isn't free anyway). Some digital agencies already have subscriptions so you don't need to have another by yourself if you work under them. But if its for any non-profit/non-commercial usage then you can get away with downloading for free as long as you credit them (the designer) in the caption. IMPORTANT: if you are borrowing elements, make sure that you are changing its colours according to your brand's or client's color guidelines. (Or according to the theme of the post if its a work independent from any brands/organisations). Doing this will make your design look more original, or else people will easily realize you grabbed it from somewhere else and feel a disconnect.

Excellent corrections and suggestions. However, are you missing a space between requires & collective on the India Covid-19 pamphlet? Also for that particular design, the half circle is reminiscent of a tent and it just doesn't resonate with the message. Perhaps if the half circle was less long or if the sides were less wide or a different shape? I like the orange in the half circle representing the sun rising or setting. Thanks for the upload.

Good Work!! though I believe it is nothing to do with the program whether you do with canva or photoshop, It depends on the designer. If someday some expert canva designer pickup some work of armature photoshop artist and make a better design than that will undermine photoshop(which is not true). however I think mostly the basic level (not highly sophisticated) of Design requirement is being transferred from photoshop to canva because 1. ease of use, 2. Low learning curve and 3. low software price. I found it way to easy to learn canva as an armature. Thank you for your contribution to design community.
