As an illustrator, I relate so much to the way you approach your practice. Idk as a kid i was like DRAWING IS A DREAMAklasdfjJFHFk. Now, drawing for a living, I am terrified of certain pages, I keep little checklists for how many illustrations i've already done when doing a commission, etc. It's nice to speak a bit more nuanced about this romanticised job : ) DON'T GET ME WRONG it's a great job, but still.

I lived in NYC for just short of 41 years, (from age 25 to 66), and I and my wife moved south two years ago. I always loved (and still do love) NYC and watching your travels throughout the city make me especially miss it. I used to shop at the McNally Jackson Book shop on Prince Street. Where we are now is very nice, but it has no really good or comprehensive book shops, and the few bookshops I'm aware of are not near to me or to each other. The best bookshop I found was a used book store where I bought a good number of books...but they closed a few months ago. Boo hoo! I also very much miss access to the museums. Double boo hoo! I took life drawing classes for many years at the Art Students League on 57th Street. I miss drawing from models. Triple boo hoo! Anyway, I always enjoy your videos, whether you're being introspective at home or out meandering the streets. Your pages are looking great! Thank you!

I also didn't liked being watched even by a camera when drawing, but i have being relaxing about the drawing in general, cus I love it and it was stressful because of my own self demands, i let it go to be more free. Im glad you finished the project, also nice to see you documenting a bit of it. Specially the scanner part. I have my scanner still and i was wondering if scanning my self was good or if i need to take pictures, but i will try the scanner when the moment come.

Maybe this helps- dont stop inking when youve messed up the page, finish the whole page. On your second try itll be your second time inking EVERYTHING and itll already feel a little more familiar and a little less daunting. Anyway the graphic novel is looking amazing!!

Me encanto el video, adoro ver mas de tus ilustraciones y espero que todo te vaya super con esta novela grafica, entiendo completamente lo de la presion de la camara, me pasa que avanzo mas rapido y sin tanto estres cuando estoy sola concentrada en ilustrar sin pensar si esta en foco el plano, si la luz se ve bien, sin que se vean mucho mis errores normales al trabajar etc etc. Adoro cuando pones jazz en tus videos porque me encanta ese genero pero tambien porque me ayuda a echar a andar los jugos creativos del cerebro ajaajja, pero tambien me gusto mucho el video anterior se sentia muy pacifico e intimo. Tengo una pregunta que no se si podras responder o si llegaras a leer este comentario, esta novela grafica es la que estabas haciendo con Ed? o es una nueva solamente tuya? seguro has mencionado algo ya al respecto pero me quedo la duda, si no es la novela anterior que paso con ese proyecto? en fin te deseo unas felices fiestas y un prospero año nuevo, y que sepas que tus videos me inspiran muchisimo a seguir creando y experimentando nuevos materiales.
