Easier way, without vectorizing: Select the image. Object -> Envelope Distort -> Make with Mesh. Make the mesh 1x1. Then use Free Distort tool to place image corners. Not sure, but I think this feature there since 2005.

1:27 - I appreciate this tutorial, and thought maybe I don't have to do free distort in Ps anymore. Unfortunately if you have a graphic with an embedded photo, it will distort the graphic but not the embedded photo. Back to Ps.

Its just ridiculous. You pay literally a thousand dollars for a software that you know can have the capability to skew images (ADOBE Photoshop). Yet they decide it's better to waste my time by having to drag it into photoshop, to skew then back into illustrator.

you have done wrong practice. no need to trace image to do perspective wrap.
