Everyone makes mistakes, plus he wrote positive 4 so it should be ok

-(2)^2 = -4 because the negative is outside the bracket which means it just stays their while your squaring two. But (-2) ^2 = 4 because the bracket is with the two therefore your applying the affect of 2 negatives multiplied = to positive because the negative is combined with the two making it one whole negative number. Just a heads up!
