how did you obtain the numbers after 0,1,4,9
@MyMitsu4 жыл бұрын
I notice you only use 0 and positive numbers for square roots, but both negatives and positives for cube roots. So when picking numbers to use on the graphs, does that mean if the root is an even number (square and 4th root) to only use positive value numbers?
@danieljackson49885 ай бұрын
You only want positive numbers for even roots because the functions don't include imaginary numbers, only real numbers
@danieljackson49885 ай бұрын
You can take the odd root of negative numbers but not even roots (in the real number system)

Related to radical functions, what is the right end behavior model of the function sqrt(9x^2+x). My feeling is that we can model it as sqrt(9x^2)=3x. Is this sound reasoning?

Old video I know, but I was wondering how I would do something like √x+1? My teacher wants us to draw the parent function along with the ending result so I'm having trouble writing that for equations that are just that.
