Graphite M25 setup with Ableton Live

Yeah I guess the demo is very inaccurate! I'm still configuring it and will update the forum here once it works properly

Now how can you change the velocity value of the trigger pads? My M25 trigger pad is very hard.

The way this tutorial walks through the setup is incorrect. Whether there was an update, or anything else, the software does not work as advertised. For example, you cannot have Ableton and the editor open at the same time - only one at a time. Please update your tutorial.

when ableton live is open Samson Graphite m 25(midi) cant be connected to editor (editor->select Device->= "connection error") and if I close the ableton and then select m5 and connect it. it does but then My ableton Live doesnt get input from midi. IMO give some solutions.

open ableton preferences-> under midi section you will see your samson m25, tick OFF all the check marks-> now open your mini editior and connect-> change the assignment of the keys that you want -> download to device -> close the editor-> open ableton -> check all the boxes. You are now good to go.

hrmmm have got my knobs workin but can't get transport controls to interact w ableton.... ableton will recognize any other key or knob but not the transport buttons .... do i have a faulty unit or is it me who's faulty?

Hi there, I sent you a message through your website as well but I figured i would follow it up here as well. I have bought one of these and seem to be having little problem connecting it up and making it work for the most part. However the top few and bottom few keys in this don't seem to work at all and I can never get the full keyboard range to run at a time. Do you know why this is? I assume it's a simple error on my part but I can't for the life of me find a solution online. Cheers :)

Great Video. I have a Graphite 49 and this video has helped a lot in mapping controls and I thank you for that. I just want to ask, can you split the 49 keys of the controller to control different Midi tracks on Ableton at the same time? ed. the lower half of the piano keys to control a synth on MIDI Track 1 and upper half of the piano keys to control another synth from MIDI Track 2. If so, how? This is my first time using a MIDI controller and I have to perform live in 2 days, so I hope Samson, or anyone who read this, to reply as soon as possible. Thank you. Have a great day!

But the link for the editor is bad. it's crypted or it's dead, you can try it. i've tried the graphite 25 editor, and it works, but it's not the good one. i can't use the pads or sliders or knobs. Go into Project Settings/Synchronisation/Midi and select 'Listen to MMC Input' and ...it just works [OSX Yosemite]...seems the selection/assignment global thing doesnt work anymore...the graphite tool is a bit mysterious too...any manual?

I like the controller, but since it has no ableton scripts i will not buy it, mapping all myself isn't my purpose. Too bad that samson didn't take the effort for a script. It would make this a very powerfull controller.
