I am setting it up in logic pro x like you do. I can play music with the piano keys, but I cant set up any key commands simply because it doesnt recognize them. Logic thinks I am working with my keyboard. Is there anywhere I can set the graphite m25 as my midi controller??

I finally figured it out. You need to download the GraphiteMiniEditor and configure your keys in the editor to use MMC commands for rewind, fast forward, stop, play and record (Commands 128 thru 132), and save them to a preset on the keyboard , and then tell Logic to accept these commands (Preferences>MIDI>Sync>MIDI Sync Project Settings>MIDI>MIDI Machine Controls (Activate both options). The transport buttons will finally work in Logic!

I do what you do with the Key Commands and Learn New Assignment but it doesnt work. However, the knobs work when I assign them to pan and volume. Why is it like that?

Daniel Leroy Thomas I'm having the same problem, but with Cubase 7 Elements. It can't hear the transport keys because it's transmitting the keys on channel 128 and above, and Cubase is only listening up to channel 127. I have no idea how to change those settings :-( irritated is not the word for me after weeks of fannying about. Angry is the word!!!

The problem has yet to be resolved. I just do it with the mouse because it's too long for me to even bother stressing it. If you guys come upon the answer please let me know and if I somehow find the solution I'll be more than glad to share the knowledge Artem Goverdovsky the3sounds

Please can you explain how to get Cubase to recognise the Samson Graphite M25 transport buttons? And I agree with asmartkat - the Graphite mini editor doesn't work - I can't download the settings from the editor to the M25. Finally, is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the swipe pads and "drum" pads? I have to press down really hard just to get them to register at all.

As two people here mentioned, the modulation and pitch controls doesn't work. When I bough it they told me it was 'cause it was needed to configure it with the software, but I alredy asigned modulation in preset 1 and it doesn't work. If anyone figures this out, I'll be glad to know. Btw I'm using it on cubase 5

This software does not work. Tried it on 10.6 and Mavericks. Every time I try to download to the device it doesn't send it to the controller. When I upload from the device it sends back every parameter as the same value. I can't assign the transport keys in Logic it will not recognize the buttons as a controller.

Probably you have the "protools" keyboard preset, so yo need to use the editor shown in this video and set MMC sends for transport buttons, as other people don't use the protools preset it works out of the box.

Dear Samson! The program for presets crashes when I run it with Reaper DAW. Please HELP! EDIT: Found a solution. At first you open mini editor, load presets into the device, then close editor and then start Reaper.

I have the Samson Graphite 49 and Logic Pro X. As soon as I plug the Graphite in via USB it starts recording on a track and won’t stop. Any ideas how to fix this? Please, it is driving me mad.

I bought this thing and I deeply regret it. Even the software to program it from your site doesn't work, the thing is clanky and rubbery when playing keys and I couldn't quite map it with anything. There's no firmware updates and frankly I think I should resell this and save up for the Arturia MK2, that's what I'd call a proper midi controller, this is more like a toy and is now gathering dust because it's not user friendly and doesn't even feel good when using it.

Another associated thing I can't do is to map, say, E1 to CC2 (breath controller) so that Cubase recognises it as CC2 when I'm doing a recording. Is there anything I can do, or do I need to use the editor to set it to CC2 and not use remote device mapping at all? Regarding your last reply, it's probably a question in vain, but do you have documentation of what all the factory presets are anywhere? Your lack of anything other than superficial documentation for the M25 is appalling! Notwithstanding, I will try your suggestion in the morning and let you know
