It will probably be fixed, or changed to not work like this but this is ACTUALLY JUST RIOT WORDING. See: Heisho gives *-9* to all cards until you play one card, making most of them temporarily 0 cost. Mageseeker looks at 0 cost cards and *SETS* them to 3, not "increase cost", SET. So after you play one card and Heisho's effect goes away, the card would usually go to its inteded mana, but it has been SET TO 3, so it shall stay at 3, and you can also see how units work as intended and go to their normal cost. Funny Riot wording wins the game again!!

It looks like a bug for me. You have an ongoing effect with a condition. The condition is to cost less than 3 mana. And when the condition is not met, the effect has to be disabled. And if the effect was set one time and permanently, it had to stay even after you remove the mageseeker

It's not a bug it's a feature, no literally. Heisho reduces all of the cards in your hand by 9 mana which makes spells cost less than 3 in most of the cases. Then Mageseeker effect activates which set all of the spells that cost 0-1-2 and sets it to 3 as an aura effect. This makes it so that even after Heisho is activated, the cards become 3 mana due to mageseeker effect since it sets the cost. Since the cost was set as an aura effect, the spell remains 3 mana while the other goes back to their respective costs. Just a quirky interaction with 2 cards that can be fixed if problematic by just changing mageseeker's text to increase the mana to 3 instead of making it 3. Teaches you how wording matters in card games but I don't think Riot cares enough anyway and probably is just gonna label it as bug.

The way to bring them back up would probably be removing mageseeker to remove it's aura effect but I can't be too sure as I haven't tried it myself

I think it's because the spell doesn't get the opportunity to go back to its original cost becuase of the 3 drop. As soon as it drops below 3, it'll stay like that as long as the unit lives. EDIT: played this deck and it's true. Spells will remain at 3 mana even without the turtle boi on board

that’s really funny. Once Mageseeker sees a spell cost zero, he sets the cost to 3, and the spells can’t reset because Junior is already doing some “setting” of his own. Heisho decreases cost, Junior sets cost, and the player profits lol if we were playing Galio i could come up with some funny “the cost are set in stone” type joke, but it’s 3am and the funny juices aren’t making it to the brain

It would basically be hell to program in a way that ONLY THE FIRST CARD costs-9 but without showing visibly that ALL CARDS are -9. so in a way Heisho says give -9 mana to all cards in hand (this effects only last till you play 1 card). but that would also suck. Then Junior SETS everything to 3 and while he is on the field the game will not check for any mana change as long as junior is there cause he sets it to 3.
