Makita Outdoor Power (Their battery powered line) is what he went with for his trimmers and blowers. We will get you an update on those when they arrive.

Great video! Never seen anyone make a video like this before. 2 major issues addressed for super cheap. These kind of videos are invaluable to us just starting out trying to keep cost down and survive those tough early years in our lawn business. Great that everyone wants to do a review on wide tire kits, expensive chute blockers, etc, but these are things that I can actually afford to do and implement immediately. Thanks again bro!

Thanks Thomas. I am planning on documenting everything Billy does as he starts from scratch right now in his business. Been looking for an opportunity like this to make content for this channel. I really appreciate the awesome comment and will be getting more videos out over the upcoming weeks and months.

I picked up a 36" Snapper Pro SW25 over the winter months. It's been solid as a rock since the mowing season started. Perfect for the smaller gates I've encountered so far here in Central KY. I watched one of your older videos 4-5 times trying to get a good luck at your chute blocker before I made my own. Just last week!! I wish this video had been just a couple days earlier.

Oh snap! A 36" is crucial for gates though for sure! I am really only super familiar with Snapper Pro and Exmark, and to me they are both really good, Exmark just costs more...like a lot more!

Great video. I never had a problem with the sw35 52” scalping but I believe it’s wheel base is wider than the sw25. I really like snapper pro and Ferris. When we downsized mowing this year I sold the snapper and elected to keep the newer cub cadet hw300 walk behind. It’s an absolute beast and handles terrain like no walk behind I’ve used. We also elected to buy a new cub cadet pro z 500 60” zero turn, we like the Ferris zero turns but for the money we are happy with our decision so far. If we change at any point it would be back to snapper pro or Ferris... basically the same. agree , no need to spend more than necessary to get the job done. ✌️

I do believe the SW35 has a wider wheel base stock. It is considerably larger than the SW25. The 35's would not fit in my Uhaul trucks, so we went with the 25's and just stuck with them. I looked up that hw300 cud cadet. What specs does your have? I am seeing a couple different models...some belt drive and different deck sizes. Looks like it could be a nice real nice cheaper option for a 'gate mower' when the 48" won't fit. Thank you and thanks for the comment!

@Lawncrack , I should’ve been more specific, it’s the Cub Cadet Pro HW 300 walk behind. I have the 54” with the 18.5 Kawasaki, which id like to see at the 21hp but I’ve had no issues with strength . Here’s the link. www.cubcadet.com/equipment/cubcadet/pro-hw-354-54-in-18-5-hp-kawasaki-engine Also here’s the pro z 560 I mentioned. Reason I bring these up is price is lil cheaper than some and this new Cub Pro line is legit. Plenty of options these days, the X isn’t the only brand out there😁 www.cubcadet.com/equipment/cubcadet/pro/pro-z-lap-bar-mowers--1/pro-z-560l-27HP-Kawasaki-commercial-zero-turn-mower

Landscaping question.....I put fabric and mulch down around my pool.....problem is I didn't dig the edge deep enough and I'm getting grass in my mulch......would it be better to just dig it deeper or put a retaining wall around it to maintain the mulch and keep the grass out ?

I wish you would have showed how to do this on the zero turn and not the walk behind because I’m trying to figure out how to do it on the zero turn

Sweet 👍🏿 Ryan you have a passion for lawn care. I love my snapper pro. Is the snapper pro popular in your area ? What dealer he go5 those from ?
@LawnCrack
@LawnCrack 5 жыл бұрын
Snapper Pro is somewhat popular. Exmark is the main brand you see around here. Scags are probably second. We have a ton of dealers of all types of mowers around the I-275 loop that circles Cincinnati so lots of options. He went with Taylor Equipment Sales and Service in Middletown, OH. Only one other Snapper Pro told him they could even get a Snapper Pro walk behind... Taylor was the cheaper of the 2 dealers that could. So, he went with the slightly cheaper route! Taylor Equipment is brand new to dealing and about an hour away from Northern KY. Found him listed on the Snapper Pro site as a dealer.

Thanks Daniel. I do not, but any with decent thickness to withstand the use will work. I'd just run up to a local hardware store where you can buy individual nut/bolts/etc and piece it all together there. That's what I did. Good luck!

I’m surprised more guys don’t use snapper pro they seem like a well built machine and they are priced right.I got my snapper pro from a dealer in Connecticut the SW35 48” walk behind. The nearest snapper dealer near me is 30 miles but they don’t sell commercial but they service one or 2 a year. My local dealer has Hustler, Scag, Exnark. I wanted a Exmark but it was 2k more I paid $5600 for my snapper pro in October I have $3700 before its paid off. What 32-36” stand on do you recommend ?

I am not familiar with stand-ons. I bought a Vantage years ago but sold it with low hours as it is not the right tool for the job around here. Way too many hills. Super fun...just good at making you money in my area though! I know they are elsewhere though.

It's a Proslide XT. We have the best price on or offline here: igoprolawnsupply.com/products/proslide-xt I had no idea what it was when I bought my 1st mower in '09. Dealer asked if I wanted to throw a Proslide on it...and I was like, what? 😆 Then I tried it out and have been a huge fan ever since. I have lots of videos about it on this channel. If you have any questions about it, let me know. I've probably sold roughly 500 now. The people who buy them are like me and wonder why guys are still using wheeled sulkies!

what about a curved deck as in toro 22.5 hp 42 inch deck
@LawnCrack
@LawnCrack 4 жыл бұрын
I am not familiar with your specific mower, but I think it would just be a matter of bending the piece of metal you are installing to match the curve of the deck. Might have to get a little creative on how to attached and operate it. Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Not to be "overly picky" but wouldn't using Aluminum be better for RUST Protection? I know that the Steel was already in hand, and STRONGER, but Aluminum would be much easier for Fabrication purposes, right? Thanks for sharing! Take care, 🤓 -Thomas
@LawnCrack
@LawnCrack 5 жыл бұрын
I do think you are on to something with the aluminum. It would be lighter and rust would basically be a non-issue, and would be a perfectly fine alternative! Here are a couple reasons we just use sheet metal: 1) Easier to find - never tried to look for aluminum so maybe it is easier to find than I assume though! 2) Price 3) We typically end up replacing the flap portion of the system once or twice though out a year. More often on walk behinds as they tend to get bent hitting things like fence posts etc. more frequently. Thanks for the comment!
