@leavetherace6 жыл бұрын
I think its the opposite now, kids are so pressured to live up to the expectations the world sets for them. They are trying to plan their lives out more and more and when one step in their plan fails they see it as the end of their world. Whether it is getting into that college or just being successful in general. Everyone can see your life and every detail, and I think Social Media has ruined the world.

This song has always resonated within me.....it makes me think about how there is no time for nothing but worrying about money and work and no time for loving that one person.

Although I was just seven years old, I can still remember all those young Marines from Camp Pendleton heading off Vietnam when I hear this song. I remember all those troop buses full of Marines heading for San Diego to board troop ships heading over seas. That base was humming.

I am not yet 40 years old. I saw these guys several times in the late 80s and early 90s. I always enjoyed their shows! Great music that flew under the radar!

Creed Bratton baby! Another reason why The Office U.S. is brilliant.
@TJfromEarth6 жыл бұрын
The office US is brilliant because Creed Bratton was in a band in the 60s?

THE GRASS ROOTS are so under-rated. They had a ton of hits.

A True Summer Of Love 67 classic and a Top 10 hit. Only Midnight Confession scored higher on the charts but they literally had over 20 hits between 1966 and 1975.

I saw this band in 1997,and Rob Grill was Very Cool.... This band came to the Chatham Fair in '97,and Rob Grill Reminded Us of the late '60s',... The Generation that Won the LOTTERY... Yet,not one person in that crowd Recalled "The Lottery..". sad that some of us Did recall.... You Children will Never have to KNOW....

On one episode Creed was upset because he was asked what he does there and couldn’t tell them. He said “I knew I should have written it down”

S Edge I love this song because it is a great example of the sound of the 1960s. It was an amazing time for the evolution of popular and rock music. I also love it when shows like The Office and movies expose the younger generations to some very good music from a half-century ago.
