The best part about Creed is that the writers understood that with a character like him, less would always be more. Many shows and films suffer because they see how much fans enjoy characters like Creed and then double and triple down on them, and by doing so ruin the character.

Agreed. I always thought that is what went wrong with Family Matters. Steve Urkel was hilarious when he was the weird neighbor kid that dropped by every now and then. It's not Jim's or sales job to deliver quality paper. If anything it's the warehouses workers job to allow creed to occasionally check the paper that's coming from the mill. Creed is enigmatic and Steals a scene with a line, sometimes inadvertently, sometimes on purpose. Some times it’s just an action that steals the scene. In the cold open for Niagara, in which Dwight goads Pam into throwing up and then everyone else does but they show Creed just sitting there eating his noodles from his bowl.
