Hello, can you make a video explaining the common grasshopper commands and what they are used for?
@architutors4 жыл бұрын
Yes we're working on interactive sessions for grasshopper and rhino, specifically for beginners. We'll be posting them very soon on our KZbin channel. Stay tuned.

Good tutorial, look at minute 4:46, in the contour of the right part of the tangential surface, you can see some raised excesses, a kind of vertical axis seam, how can they be eliminated? I saw that at minute 5:15 you raised the Slider of the Domino W from 0.25 to 0.70, theoretically I know why, a Vonoroi maximum-geodesic circle reaches out where the displacement height in the Z axis reaches to intersect that pseudogeodic cut or quasi-geodesic so it may be solved simply by giving more or less height to the displacement in the Z axis of the points that come from the plane geometry of the Vonoroi, same points that were raised, just at minute 2:58 in the Factor of movement in height Z axis. But I already moved numerical quantities in all Sliders and this problem is not solved.

Grazie ancora.

You can use Cap Holes component to combine the geometry produced.

is there a tutorial that can help me to make parametric triangles or pyramids ...a series of changes in triangles or pyramids...or how to make a series of changes in any geometric shape in general
@architutors4 жыл бұрын
You can use Lunchbox tools to make more triangular shapes or panels. Though we'll do a tutorial on it.

Thank you for this tutorial! Is there a way to make the surface seam less noticable?

You can probably just go in and move the individual vertices to align with one another once baked.

Completely new to Grasshopper here but have been binging on your videos. Thanks for doing them. Just one question, is it possible to import an obj into rhino to turn into a developed surface then apply all of these fun voronoi/geodesic surfacing techniques to it? I’ve been looking everywhere for videos on importing mesh assets to grasshopper but haven’t found anything. Thanks for the amazing tutorials!

Its possible but it depends on from which software you're importing the geometry. For example, grasshopper doesn't tend pick any geometry imported from sketchup into rhino. So you may have to try and see if how it responds importing geometry from any other software.

@@architutors thanks for the response! It would mostly be 3D scans cleaned up in meshmixer and models made in Fusion360. I’ll give it a shot. Are there any tutorial you can direct me to?
