People like him have saved my life when I've had a Mental Episode on the railways! I'm eternally grateful to people like Jimmy! And still have a chat to them whenever I visit them as well! These tactics are critical in these situations for everyone to be safe. Sadly, a few people don't do it. And can be deadly.

@@Gencturk92 it’s a traumatic sight to see for everyone whether it be people on the platforms of the driver that couldn’t stop in time A friend of mines dad was a train driver for 18 years and he had what they call “a one under” And he needed 7 months off work for his mental health after the incident and therapy for years for the trauma So yeah it ain’t pretty
@JulianShagworthy
@JulianShagworthy Жыл бұрын
@@Gencturk92 The initial impact will break a lot of bones, but it won't necessarily be 'messy'. The mess happens when the body goes under the train and is run over by potentially 50 wheels. This may be a 'clean cut', bisecting the person in half or decapitating them, for instance, or the body may be spun round at a huge RPM between the wheel bogies. The centrifugal effect of this can lead to limbs being ripped clear of the torso, as well as evacuation of the innards etc. That's a 'messy' one. Hope this helps.

I wasn't looking for them, but some train drivers stories videos came up before, about their near misses, so I started watching them, then this one came up. This is such a great video. This needs to be shown to groups of men, maybe in social clubs, sports clubs or even prisons, to get this important message out there. It takes a lot to make me emotional, but I don't mind saying this video did. The station guy was such a hero with that guy.

We've all got our demons. The poor, the rich, the employed, the unemployed, the married, the single, .... Teenagers with hormones raging around their bodies have a particularly tough time. A kind word, gently asking "Are you OK ?", offering a cuppa and a chat can go a long way towards helping someone beat their demons back.

Fab , put these on TV and other KZbin sponsor videos adverts that the younger ones watch ! I'm soo glad to see there is new updated in-depth , relevant , empathetic , emotionally attached , hard-hitting , and a little graphic image , educational videos being made by Network rail on railway safety . Generally Its Such a shame that seconds of safety madness at times can result in lifelong mental health traumas for all involved and lives ruined . As someone myself who has been in a suicidal situation (not via the railway) between ages 18 to 20 and who i have met many unwell people from older "mentally tougher" generation it's great to see schemes like Mental health first aid training exist by law now and the other railway station training safety welfare teams exist too now like at Clapham . After all it's sadly the most easiest way to end one's life today . But It's PAINFULLY SAD in many of these cases after the station staff , medics and police have done their bit , the real struggle to victim recovery is with the VERY poorly resourced NHS Mental health sector , with long waiting lists , scarce treatments whose job it is to stop these poor souls like myself becoming in this situation on the railway again . Ps I hope the the real victim in this is doing well if he was a really in that situation .

It is harder for progress forward when everything is run by monopolies or the state where there is no competition but lots of restrictions. They do not need to progress forward for they dominate and make money either way. There are countless dedicated independent entities and even people who master their craft whether it is healthcare or educating people. An example is American healthcare where there are rarely waiting lists and providers start treating you well within a week if you are not well or in pain. You pay for what you get.

Very good film; I don't know how it is but the Southern lines seem to attract a lot of suicides, I used to be delayed once or twice a year, on a journey that I would only make on 26 days. It's my habit to wander up and down a platform if I have a long wait, and I did have one of the platform staff come after me once when I had 45 minutes to wait for a connection; I'd wandered up to the London end of platform 9 at Clapham jnc.

RAID: Shadow Legends™️ is an immersive online experience with everything you'd expect from a brand new RPG title. It's got an amazing storyline, awesome 3D graphics, giant boss fights, PVP battles, and hundreds of never before seen champions to collect and customize. I never expected to get this level of performance out of a mobile game. Look how crazy the level of detail is on these champions! RAID: Shadow Legends™️ is getting big real fast, so you should definitely get in early. Starting now will give you a huge head start. There's also an upcoming Special Launch Tournament with crazy prizes! And not to mention, this game is absolutely free! Ok look I just had to make this video's 69th comment special lol
