@@CHEVYedsf not if it's bred for bucking. These horses have pedigrees that go back through generations of bucking horses. It's an innate ability. It's what they were born to do. Even if you try to use them for something else you'd almost always have to deal with the fact that horses with this type of breeding are inherently broncy. There are hundreds of other breeds that make wonderful riding horses, but rodeo broncs aren't one of them. You don't try to make a barrel horse out of an Andalusian, and you don't try to make a riding horse out of a rodeo stock.

@@virginiamoss7045 Rodeos are bad, but horse racing is not as bad as people say it is. Horses love to run if they're bred for it and trained properly, and are treated with love and care. Sadly, lots of people fall under the name of 'bad horse rider', but horse racing has made improvements, time from time. Horse jumping is just as dangerous as racing. Aslong as the people around the horses are good, the races are fine.

@@iclynnx - " Aslong as the people around the horses are good, the races are fine." But they are not when there's so much money involved. I laughed so hard at the irony of all the money spent to acquire Secretariate's progeny for years and years, none of which turned out to be very good at racing. Upon his death they discovered his amazing power and endurance was just a rare fluke of nature, a very oversized heart. I'm fighting horse racing in Georgia because of the corruption and abuse like running two-year-olds, not because of the gambling which most people here are morally against. My brother is a veterinarian. He knows what goes on in racing and at rodeos and other events. People will often do anything to win. Take the competition out of it and much of the abuse will disappear. Rodeos are the most abusive of all and not just for horses, but for bulls as well.

They simply aren’t good enough. Trail riding in weekends, sure. But the world of horse people have much broader interests than just that. THIS stallion is a dandy. Tough, durable, athletic. I’d love a colt off him for ranch work

It sounds to me like you know nothing regarding the sport of rodeo whatsoever. Get an education first, then you can make a statement, because clearly you've lost some brain cells regarding rodeo!!!

IF THAT BIG BOY IS YR FRIEND- AND YES, I SAY "IF"-THEN WHY THE HECK WOULD U LET ANYBODY RAKE SPURS OVER AND OVER HIS TENDER SIDES TO MAKE HIM BUCK??? NO, DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU DON'T THINK THAT HURTS THAT BEAUTIFUL HORSE! WHAT A VICIOUS "SPORT"! AT THE HORSE'S EXPENSE. They love to run so I can see racing, as long as a jockey doesn't hit them over & over just for sport! But cinch up yr flank and ally those SPURS & see how YOU like it, Bucko! GRRRRHHH

First of all all Rodeo associations require that the riders use dull rowels on their Spurs! Second of all, putting a flank strap on a bucking horse is no different to you putting on a belt, and it's covered in sheepskin, therefore it doesn't hurt the horse at all! GET YOUR EDUCATION FIRST, THEN GO OUT AND TRY AND MAKE A MEDIOCRE "ANIMAL ACTIVIST" STATEMENT LIKE THE ONE YOU JUST TRIED TO MAKE!

S.H.A.R.K. it's just a propaganda company that feeds off of what they portray as animal abuse. They clearly don't know anything about the sport of rodeo whatsoever, And it appears to me that you don't either!

Yep nice horse abuse, that poor beautiful horse could be anything from a jumper to a barrel racer he's built beautifully yet you choose to throw him away, sad but not my horse, I hope we can stop this some day

Clearly sounds like you know absolutely nothing about the sport of bronc riding at all!! At what he had accomplished in his career performing in rodeos, he is far too valuable to do anything else.

No, can’t say that I did know that and I’ve been around them a fair amount in my 60 years on earth and know quite a few people who have spent even more time around rodeos than me and they’ll tell you the same thing. The horse in this video sure looked abused didn’t he?🙄
