I was there. Insane amounts of acid, frequently delivered by spray bottle. They say Jerry's limo driver got sprayed and freaked out. Jerry hung around backstage for awhile after the show, then went to look for his ride and it wasn't there, so he had to cage a seat in another vehicle.

...this was my high school graduation trip, I flew in from Birmingham, ALA to LAX and took a cab all the way to the venue, you should have seen the cabbie face when I told him where I needed to get. GOOD TIMES for sure! ....and how about that first MASTERPIECE?!

This was my brother's first three shows at 19 years old... got a car, piled friends in and drove all night from Utah. I was still in Jr. High school... Time has flown by and exponentially so the older I get... Love you brother... 1967-2017

I was there! The campground at Ventura was a small village of tents and school buses - turned into tour-mobiles… a VW bus welded onto the top of a school bus.. Summer of 1986, the Ventura shows were cancelled due to Jerry’s coma… so they used the bracelets from ‘86 to get you in the campground.. was cool.. I lost mine a few weeks later… I was working Shakedown Street when I ran into one of Tim’s friends from San Fran, and he knew I was an artist… so I spent the afternoon in a school bus.. creating tickets from ticket stubs… we managed to make about a dozen tickets that worked! See there was no scanning technology yet, usually when they tore a ticket at the gate they would always give you the left half, but sometimes the ticket guard made a mistake and gave you the right side… we collected them from hippies willing to give up a stub to help a hippie. With scotch magic tape and a razor we did wonders.. and that’s where my ticket stubs went. These Ventura shows were awesome! About a week later the Greek Theatre shows on the Solstice…! Was like the last run of old school shows before the “In the Dark” album was released, so the crazy had not yet started.

i was there, great venue, sgt. peppers wake up , danced barefoot on the rodeo grounds, feet hurt for a week. a guy saved us, told us not to camp below the barhrooms and sure enough it flooded right where we were. whew
