I was there after not seeing the GD since 1990 and this a good show with Bruce Hornsby sitting in and one of their best Shows this Spring ‘95 Tour But Jerry was on his last leg, his Voice shot and fingers failing , It was very sad to see but not unexpected from this long time deadhead fan and concert goer from 1980

@@johnphilbin5241 Awesome, thank you again! I know Jerry flubs a few lyrics but his playing is pretty hot on this night with Bruce sitting in. Just Grateful that I got to be there on this night.

Had no idea the video of this had surfaced!!! Saw 3 shows in 95 on the spring tour, 13 overall since summer 1990, and this show has stood up over time as one of THE BEST! The whole run of music from Scarlet to the encore is A plus material... one if the best Space segments ever!! We walked in early , trying to find good seats, and seeing Bruce's piano set up really had everyone excited. Honestly, Jerry was not in his best form and Bob pretty much single-handedly ran the show the night before. But this one was great. Bruce being there really got Jerry into it, and every song he played in the first set was special. The Scarlet Begonias and Fire on the Mountain is top-notch. People get distracted because Jerry forgot some lyrics at the beginning but if you listen he never stops on the guitar, so I chalk it up to something funny was probably going on. We were all Whispering about the teleprompters, which were new, but come to find out later they didn't really have lyrics on them for almost all of the songs . Those things were giant!

That "funny thing going on" was Jerry's health and stability failing... Listen back to Scarlet. It is a mess that suffers from forgotten changes, lyrics and a way too fast tempo (which I sort of like)---all brought on by Jerry. The band was working overtime to compensate and does well but Jerry is a mess, sadly.
