The best thing about these reaction videos is that they bring an extremely diverse group of people together through music. I’m sure you and I would never cross paths without them. @@floorticket Well,the Dancing In The Streets has a huge rep too. If they ever played a better version,I haven't heard it. Plus,the first set is pretty hot. Especially (for me) the Deal.Brown-Eyed Women and Row Jimmy numbers. And of course the DITS to close the set. Second set,I'm "meh" on this being THE best S/F. It's up there for sure. But to me and many peeps I know,where the second set goes interstellar is the St. Stephen>Not Fade Away>St Stephen>Morning Dew run to close the set. I've flipped many folks who were "They're OK,I guess" into being Deadheads by laying that run of genius on them over the years. I'm with you overall though. Top 10 show for sure. Best ever? This is what makes The Dead so great! They can go from beautiful, melodic ballads, like "Ripple" "Candyman" or "Brokedown Palace" through rolling bluegrass tinged greats like "Cumberland Blues" "Uncle John's Band" or "Friend of the Devil" , through straight rockers like "Jack Straw" "One More Saturday Night" or "Truckin'" to pure country gold, like "Mexicali Blues" "Me and My Uncle" "El Paso" etc., to the trippy jams of "Morning Dew" "Dark Star" "Eyes of The World" then throw in a cover of an ancient Scottish folk tune, like the one of a kind "Peggy O" just for the hell of it, and switch it up to the disco slanted dance tunes like "Dancin' In The Streets" or "Shakedown Street". Even more amazingly, this could all be done in one live set! It's said, loosely, about a lot of bands, but those guys really could "do it all"!!
@chrisd98773 жыл бұрын
That wasn’t playing 30 seconds before Jerry had you up and dancing lol. Now imagine dancing like that for 3+ hours and that’s how a Grateful Dead show was. If you want to keep dancing check out the Shakedown Street from 10/25/79. It’s a monster jammed out version. No way you can sit in your seat.
