Love this song. You really do wake up one day and realize you are the Eyes of the World.

Delightful. On the musical stratosphere with The Marshal Tucker Band and The Allman Brothers Band- progressive American Rock and Roll.

Fortunate to attend this show, awesome performance and memorable evening, great experience. Branford was on stage for the entire 1st set, Bruce Hornsby on keys, great audience participation and interaction amongst the fans like every Dead concert. Jerry Garcia was a very special musician and a wonderful human being, he is surely missed. I'm very blessed to have the opportunity to be there, Dead shows were more than a concert, it was a culture unique unto its own with a multifaceted experience for anyone fortunate to witness in person and enjoy imho the greatest live band ever. Peace and Love is what they represent. RIP Jerry. Thank you for posting this clip, also a huge shout out to the entire band including all members all line ups throughout the years and most recently Dead and Co. It's very remarkable, and much deserved for all the joy they brought to generations of fans. Awesome band. God bless

Thank you! I was there!!! NYE shows in SF & Oakland were incredible events. True story my first husband in 1995 drowned in front of my sons and I in high Sierra lake, days before Garcia died who also saw his dad drown. Those were some of the darkest days of my life…. Took me a long time to embrace their music because of the pain.

Listen to 6-10-1990 Cal Expo and you'll find another jewel from 1990...along with Nassau Coliseum and this one. I was at this show right behind Bruce Hornsby looking down the microphone line and it was sweet 🤪

It’s up there, but 3/29/90 beats this.
@jerrykeys38513 жыл бұрын
@@sneakerfacevids441 Thanks for the comparison but I still give this the edge. The audio balance between the band and the audience coupled with Marsalis's perfect restraint and Hornsby's touch. I could play this on a loop. Peace!

I loved the two commercials. They were nice breaks during the song. Made a grilled cheese sandwich.

@@planetmuman LOL yea I was being sarcastic. I can't listen to a song and have a commercial break in the middle. I let it go sometimes and power through it but after the second one I couldn't listen anymore. It's like stopping to take a phone call during sex.

Wow I was in prison after being caught in the typical "deadheadraid" and would cry myself to sleep cause I was on tour for 4 years it was my existence............... I did what I did to make money on tour...... It's the truth of so many people got caught up in..... our bus was everything to another of tourheads... more stories if anyone is left from the REAL tourheads...

The last NYE was in 91, a year later. No Branford, no Bruce at that one :(
