Ben Franklin.. Dewing basically involves exposing the freshly cast bell to large quantities of steam while the bell is still hot. The steam causes a rapid cooling, producing droplet of 'dew' on the bell. After the dew is formed, the bell is rolled between large cotton sheets. He described this process as ‘rolling away the dew.’ “Unfortunately, Franklin's contemporaries had a very hard time understanding his technology. He showed them sample bells, asking him to simply look at the results without trying to understand the process. This was when he uttered the now famous quote, ‘if you get confused, listen to the music play.’”

I heard something differently in this song this time. I don’t know how else to explain the following story…. So here goes: I used to go to music festivals to see a Grateful Dead tribute band (The Schwag” w Jimmy Tebeau) quite often … The last time I tried to go, it was in a place called “FRANKLIN County” Arkansas…. Unfortunately , I never made it to the festival. “In another time’s forgotten space …” --- My ex-boyfriend, who had been using certain drugs I’m against behind my back, and I, had been arrested. Of all I have done in my life, the charges i was facing then, were not my own. “Some come to laugh the past away,” --- I could not allow myself to throw my ex under the bus, though he had done so to me. He lied and wrote a statement on me, because he caved under the pressure of the DA. He falsely claimed the drugs were mine. “Whichever way, your pleasure tends…” --- But I was not going to allow them to take away my rights over something I didn’t do. And I also was not going to throw my ex under the bus. “Some come to make just one more day” -- My attorney at the time (I went through THREE attorneys bc of how corrupted this county was), had told me that if I took my case to trial, I’d definitely go to prison, if I continued to refuse telling them where the drugs came from. I accepted that fact early. “Whichever way your pleasure tends”.. --- I did not care. It was the principle of the matter. They absolutely knew i was not guilty (my ex had told them, until they pressured him to do otherwise), and still chose to slap me w a felony. I decided to accept prison as my future. Bc I had to stand up for myself , and I couldn’t abandon my principles. I’d never let anyone take my legacy from me. “Your eyes looked from your mother’s face” ---- I had said many times during that chapter, that I had never been more uncertain about everything in my life, but I simultaneously had never been more certain about anything in my life… I was guided by an invisible hand. “If you get confused , just listen to the music play”. --- I had promised myself, that on my way down, I would make it count. “God save the child , who rings that bell” --- I told myself that if I lost at trial, I would then sell my car from the inside, and hire an entire team with PIs & everything, to take that entire f**king county-the crooked police, the district attorney, and everybody in their f**king back pockets - to Hell with me. “Like four lean hounds , the lighthouse keeps “ -- I think the DA could probably sense that I wasn’t playing around. Because the day before my actual trial, they ended up offering me a probation where I would not have a felony. I went ahead and accepted since it was the smartest idea. “May the four winds blow you safely home” --- I often think back to that corrupted county called Franklin county Arkansas With a lot of confusion in my heart “Like wildflower seed, on sand and wind” --- I don’t know why, but as soon as this track came on this time, I pictured my case , and everybody else who has to deal with that corrupted county… “In Franklins tower , the four winds sleep” -- Not going to lie, I teared up this time. I just pictured all of the good Family who are forced to deal w this corrupted country system , In “Franklin” County , just bc they wished to hear good music. “God save the child, who rings that bell” --- With so many of us going there to hear our music, a SPOTLIGHT is being put on their corruption… “It can ring, turn night to day” --- It’s putting so much attention on the disgusting practices being done there… “It will ring like FIRE when you lose your way”. -- it’s beautiful how many layers of the past AND future, are interwoven within the symbolism of mythos …. Little did I ever realize how important this song would be to me. And probably to many other dead heads in our Family. ❤⚡️💀🥀 I don’t regret it though. I gave them hell in Franklin county. For THREE YEARS. I pray that judge sees my face in every in every victim of the state in the future. I hope that DA remembers me. I hope both of the attorneys I fired remember how disposable they are. “If you plant ice, you gonna harvest winds” -- I pray the wonderful attorney who actually helped me, remembers his oath and remembers who he is fighting for. “May the four winds blow you home again” --- Everything happens for a reason Much love, ❤ Sadie

Great video to go with a fantastic live version of a phenomenal song 😎 “In another time’s forgotten space, your eyes looked from your mother’s face” Always loved those lyrics: while she was pregnant, we were all carried by our mother, and her mood, what she perceived , what she felt … impacted our brain’s earliest sensing. It is forgotten, but perhaps impacted us subconsciously
