I first saw The Grateful Dead at 15, in 1988. Grateful Mike provides the best lessons I have ever seen, to get people playing this fantastic music. Bless you, Sir, for keeping this music alive, and teaching it to the next generation.

I played for 30 years pr so , I played with my wife who played banjo and fiddle but see got a neurological disease and can use her hands , it took the wind from my sails haven’t played in over 10 years but I miss it , I’m trying to get my fingers working itsfrustrating, I’m 63 and my hands freeze up I’m working through it best I can. I have some songs of mine that need to be played. And developed again. It might be good to start over .

I’ve always done D- D7 then A-A7 that just sounds all wrong but ok I get you reasons, so never mind .

@@victorevans2996 you’re right in with those chords. Can be played either way!

Thanks for doing these. But technically the G chord is the flat7 not the 7. Most beginners won't know the difference, but just a clarification.
@GratefulMikeGuitar Жыл бұрын
Rock guitar players just call it the 7. Definitely a flat 7 but when you’re jammin it’s easy to just say 7, most understand. As for students learning tunes like this, it’s probably best to keep it simple and call it a 7. I actually tell students I refer to this chord (or note) as the funky 7. Thanks for watching my videos!

@@GratefulMikeGuitar I would actually think it's an A7 chord, not a G chord.
@GratefulMikeGuitar2 ай бұрын
@@ilancohen7656 I’ve played it live with both options. 👍
