What I loved about this is the enamel paint created pearly white cells instead of absorbing some of the blue Boom gel. It’s so clean looking which appeals to my inner OCD. 😂 I wonder why that is, but I love it and am going to get some Boom gel to give it a try.

@katherinebourke1713 жыл бұрын
Aaahhh...I hate when that happens, but yours actually still looks really good. Thank you for letting us know how well Bahr satin enamels works...I was wondering about that because the DecoArt satin enamels is REALLY expensive right now on Amazon and Michael's is extremely expensive plus they never have it

What a great painting. The one of the comments, the part that's messed up looks nice. I does look like water. Just touch up the bare spot. I noticed you have that gray, even without black. Crazy. I would like to see it dried. Will the gray go away? I say that cuz I've had it happen to me and I'm trying to figure it out. Michelle, it looks awesome. I think you do great on your videos. I saw boom gel in my Michael's last week. Kinda expensive but if it works yay.

Why do you use house paint? Can you tell me the benefit? Your work is beautiful. I love the last one most. The paint container fall looked like a happy accident and I'll bet you fixed it to add even more to your painting. Hopefully, some day I'll be able to pour something that doesn't get tossed in the reject pile.
@gratefulcreations3 жыл бұрын
The house paint is just an alternative to Decoart satin enamels. You can get results with both products. Decoart can be expensive and hard to get. Behr satin enamels works too.
@maryannlowrance60343 жыл бұрын
@@gratefulcreations Thank you. I now have 2 cans of "base deep" one is Behr and the other Sherwin Williams, 6 DecoSatin enamels, 2 gal of white interior paint (Behr and Valspar). I'm a little lost.
@gratefulcreations3 жыл бұрын
The Behr white satin enamels is the alternative to Decoart satin enamels. But Decoart is, for the most part, preferred. The be deep base 3 is used mostly for sheleeart style blooms and swipes. However, Tara, from pieces of Tara , has a recipe for colored bass paints that uses the base 3. Hopefully, that didn’t confuse you further! Lol 😂

Wow! So pretty. I love all the experiments. I do have a question. I am at my wits end with pearls and I do t want to give up on them. When you say your cloud mix/ base paint is really strong. Does that mean heavy on on satin enamel? I am getting relatively no reaction at all. I will get the hazy halo looks like it going to. Then nothing. 😔 Please help.
@gratefulcreations3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Exactly but it has to be thin like heavy cream. Then you have to make sure it’s a very thin coat on the canvas. Think vertical tilt. And make sure once your colors are down, stretch the begeezes out of it. Hope that helps
@christinamargulski96803 жыл бұрын
@@gratefulcreations Thank you for that. I am well on my way. 5 successful practice pours. I seem to only get pearls when I pour a base puddle then pour color puddles into it before stretching. I am in though and it feels so so good. ❤️ I will try those helpful suggestions. I am so over the moon for this new technique. My Zin came last night too so I’m off and running today with colored cloud mix’s and all my goodies to doctor up now that I know where I was going wrong. It is crazy how just one little thing will create such a different undesirable effect. Much love to you always and again thank you for creating this space on your channel for us to learn from.

This is so cool and such a great idea to use the Boom Gel Stains. I realise it’s a while since you did this video and you have probably done loads of experiments with the Boom Gels which are a fantastic Aussie creation. The colours are the BOM, and they can be used for many techniques. The lady that came up with these products has some videos showing different applications. If you search for Cass’s creations Boom Gel Stain. Also if you haven’t already tried the Boom Booster Cell activator. You should give that a go too. It is a non_silicon based product. The videos will help with best ways to use.
