It truly is amazing what life can throw at you. I had a baby born with many medical issues and had a stroke at 8 months old due to brain surgery. She is confined to a wheelchair. She is now almost 30. Just put one foot in front of the other and keep pushing on. Ask GOD to help you out. Stay strong.

When I see the pictures of Jon before the accident, seeing him after the accident and now after the new doctors Laura found, I see the old Jon again in his face and eyes again! It makes me so happy to see. Laura, if you see this, I’ve been following Jon’s (and your) journey from the start. I remember seeing the viral video of him kissing you and I immediately had to find your Instagram. I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come for yourself. You’re truly inspiring! beccs5050 mine was due to hypertension, but it wasnt long term. Just randomly spiked crazy high that day. Been through lots of testing and it’s all normal - so the docs don’t know why my blood pressure was so high that day. I’m on beta blockers now just for precaution. Are you on meds?

I came across Laura’s Instagram shortly after the accident and haven’t been on Instagram in so long. I remember the video she posted when he said “I love you” for the first time. He looks so much better! Sitting up on his own, making eye contact, and looking at Laura when she’s talking.

You have hit the nail on the head. God DOES speak to us. My husband was sick about 5 years ago. Two weeks prior to us even knowing he was sick. God told me he needed to gain wait. So. I listened and he gained ten pounds. My husband is naturally small. 5’8 and typically about 130lbs. He had to have a lobe in his lung removed. He was in hospital for three weeks and lost a lot of weight. I never thought I would lose him because God wouldn’t have had me increase his weight for the fight he was going to be in if he was going to bring him home. It’s a long story. But. He’s here today. And we’ve been together 31 years. God speaks. You just have to open your heart and mind and listen. Then trust in it. The rest is gravy. God bless you both. Truly an inspiring story.

Koodos to you both! Our friend was in much the same condition as Jonny after a workplace accident. He had a wife who refused to take no for an answer. He had a good quality of life. One of his favourite things was fun guns. After a stint in ICU for pneumonia(first time in almost 25 yrs since his accident), he was actually able to speak again, He was never the same but he did recover much more than doctors ever expected. Your Jonny will continue to thrive and relearn because both of you have amazing drive. Blessings to you both!! PS I learned some therapeutic pilates after a car accident. It IS amazing!!
